I haven't actually started the next chapter yet, having taken a week off from writing following the last one. As much as I enjoyed telling the story of our birdy boi Perry, it was also quite draining, and in the end I needed to step back from clop for a bit to recharge.
One other thing I would say about that chapter is that I actually enjoyed bringing forth Midnight to have her offer up her own observations on what was happening. She was quite forthcoming, but there are a couple pieces of her plans she didn't share, as she is indeed scheming beneath the surface to free herself with or without the help of Delta and Sunset.
You'll find out in due course. By my count, we have three more major M-rated scenes to get through before we reach the climactic battle stage. The plan right now is to open with Shadowdash/Night Owl, then Eclipse/Shadowdash + her team, then Flutterbat/Discord/Nightmarity, each getting their own chapter.
Once that's done, or maybe even before if the mood strikes me, I'll double back and add some new chapters to Temptations & Transformations. Ideally, I'd love to finish the main story by Halloween with the climactic chapter(s) releasing on and/or during the lead-up to Halloween Night. I'm not sure I'll get there by then, as I need to do more work on Firefly somewhere in there as well and this story has gone way past what I originally thought it would be.
I can't really say I mind, though, and I thank everyone who's read it this far for sticking with it. It's become a pretty epic fic, not just for the sex but for the scenes and story around it. I even have a rather interesting set of epilogue scenes planned, which I won't mind releasing after Halloween. Suffice it to say, it will NOT be status quo afterwards, but don't worry--this isn't a bad end fic.
Anyway, I will target the next chapter release for two weeks out, sometime around July 20th. Updates will follow, and if I come up with decent teaser material in the course of writing the next chapter, I'll release it.

This story is short but I quite like it. I feel like I made no noticeable blunders writing it.
I am curious how conquered Equestria would continue existing assuming a bad end. I suppose it'd be like communism, either successful worldwide revolution or containment and failure.

That's the problem with Midnight, she's a genius. She probably already made 50 contingency plans to escape.
True, most clop fics lack in story. In Nightmare Night might argue the story is more interesting than sex scenes- and those are great.

Don't Feed the Bats accelerated so hard, no joke, it featured BEFORE Some Leech's Wallflower fic despite him posting before me. That is a war story to tell your children right there. He is the biggest, baddest clopfiction dude on the site! Seeing his story on the front page is like seeing the Death Star parked outside of your planet!
