Okay so, this chapter was really odd during production and really all over the place, sure the final product did jump not only between different times but different prospectives as well, the number one problem with what id call ATC-Beta was that originally, Twilight would be a lot more antagonistic, and would perform harmful mind screening spells on Zecora simply to locate Celeste. This would, of course, make the Equestrians seem a lot more racist/xenophobic than they're perceived in the actual story, I had no intentions to make the ponies seem like a bunch of purists.
Another thing; Thorn was not going to have a lot of time of the chapter, he would only show up on the outskirts of the empire then talk a little bit in the cells and that would have been the end of it. Also, the scene with Jon and Celeste fighting off the thug from Black Hand would have been a tiny bit shorter, and wouldn't have included the ambulance scene.
There was some time off between me getting done with the bit where Twilight departed for the Crystal Empire and figuring out how I should approach Celeste entering the empire, as I was debating on whether she should arrive at Kasadels blacksmith or should she explore a bit. I finally decided that she'll explore some of the Crystal Empire later into another chapter, which should be interesting, to say the least, if twilight pops up again.
Well, besides the word count improvement, (the original was going to be 1.5k words), that's about all we've got for tonight. I hope you all stay safe, until next time.
