Story Concept I'd Like Opinions On · 11:04pm Jun 15th, 2020
Insert 'Why don't you update this story instead' here blah blah blah I FUCKING KNOW, OKAY? I already feel like shit about not updating, just... just lemme do this... I get story ideas in my head and they start taking up space until I get them down on paper.
Anyway.
I've been on a Pokemon kick lately. I've got another story I'm working on that crosses over Pokemon and Warriors Orochi. It'll eventually focus on the characters of Wei and Sinnoh and... anyway.
My story concept is this: Discord and Cosmos (IDW comic villainess) are fighting. The heroic Draconequus of Chaos versus the evil and demented Draconequus of Malice. Because its friggin' Equestria, Discord wins, getting empowered by Harmony (and finding the fact that HE was given a Harmony power up hilarious) and kicking Cosmos's booty to the curb. Literally. But Cosmos isn't about to go down without a fight. She summons all of her magic, preparing to exile every sapient lifeform on the planet to another world. She snaps her fingers, casting her spell, but Discord, desperate to save everyone, snaps his fingers moments later, casting a spell to try and protect them.
Every sapient being on Equestria vanishes, including Discord and Cosmos.
In Galar, an Eevee wakes up in the woods, lost and confused, wondering why she can't use her magic... and then realizing that she doesn't have her horn and wings anymore. Twilight starts to panic, realizing she's been changed somehow... and then some fool bonks her on the head with a Pokeball.
In Alola, a pair of Type:Null have appeared out of nowhere in the Aether Foundation's labs, a male and a female. The male seems to actively hate the female, and the female has the most disturbing smile...
(Basically? Everyone from Equestria and beyond gets sent to the Pokemon world as a random Pokemon. Twilight has to convince her trainer to help her look for her friends and family and try to find a way home...)
I'm wondering what people would think of a story like this?
So the premise definitely seems to have merit. I'd have to actually read a few chapters of it to see if I'd read the entire thing, but I'd definitely read the first few chapters.
So Twilight Sparkle isn't even an Espeon this time?
I'm definitely intrigued to see what you do with this, especially the species choices you make.
It has merit... but I'd be horrified by the ponies' loss of identity. Especially if they couldn't even talk. That'd kill any interest in I might have in reading, sorry.

The real question is, do you want to do something this ambitious?
Maybe not all of Equestria and beyond maybe just Ponyville (and Maybe?) have Celestia and Luna there (maybe?)
If I was writing this All Unicorns MUST be psychic types or have access to Aura
All Pegasi and other flying Eqestrian's (if you use any) MUST be a Flying type
Earth Pones on the other hand could be anything (there type could reflect there appearance or behavior) (not flying) and not water Primary (Must have legs)
Changelings are Ditto's (maybe)
hhuuuh, this looks difficult to pull off, I have questions but they are the spoilery “I have plot questions!” that I have no business asking so you have peaked my interest plot wise
I think the idea has potential. It doesn't look like it would be easy, but it liooks like it can be really good.
I'd definitely read it - sounds like a very interesting concept to me.
