Well... crap... · 11:03pm Sep 4th, 2023
So I was playing Fortnite on my Switch in an attempt to relax (yes it helps me relax). And then I heard a rather loud crack from my left Joycon. My character would now only walk slowly. And I can only get icons to move up occasionally. Can't use Up+B moves in smash barely at all...
So. Um... Anyone know where I can get a reasonably cheap replacement for my left joycon?
Repair not an option? Not having a Switch myself, I don't know if this true, but Nintendo will supposedly do free repairs on certain components, joycons among them.
Game stop is an option if the have it where you are and if not eb games.
I can make you one
It should be pretty cheap to get a replacement joystick for the joycon, particularly a magnetic style one, that won't shot out like the ones nintendo uses.
I use the HORI joypad for my left joycon as it has an actual d-pad. Works fairly well.
Linked here .
If the link fails it is called
HORI D-Pad Controller (L) (Zelda) Officially Licensed - Nintendo Switch
Sadly I just buckled down and got a pro controller after too much moment of controller drift.
