So, got something actually 100% new in the works. Yeah, it's been a long while, and I'm sorry that it's been that way. Between my other interests, job-hunting, and the hit or miss days of gloom, I've been pretty torn when it comes to taking a few moments to sit down and just... write.

That being said, this political stuff has gotten really, really crazy. I'm not going to keep echoing the same opinions of my friends on the site, since I basically agree with them. What those cops that killed Floyd did is inhuman. They are completely disgusting for what they did. Instead, I'm going to talk about something a bit more... close. Something more close to what I write on the site.

A Slave's Freedom.

It's a pretty rough story. I know I've gotten my own share of hatred for writing it in the past. Due to its historical context for depicting racism uncensored during a time period unlike our own, writing the story during this current situation would be tough. Granted, I've been meaning to update it, but I'm not sure if updating it during this time of political strife would be a good thing to do. I'd rather not accrue a fuck ton of hate because of writing something like A Slave's Freedom at the moment, even though I know it has its own reasons as to why it's written the way it is. I'd just rather avoid the whole drama: of having people threatening me to stop due to the incidents that are occurring, of the whole 'if you're white, you shouldn't be writing this', etc. Trust me, I tread carefully when writing anything on this site, and trust me when I say I've been told to watch myself if I ever went to a con over a fucking story.

Hence why I've never been to a convention. Sorry to my friends who will see this and get pissed at the entirety of Fimfiction.

Let's get to the point: A Slave's Freedom will continue, but as of right now, I will not be updating it until the political unrest has slowed down. It most likely will be a long time until that is the case, but I'm fine with that if it means I won't get shafted for writing something I genuinely care about: the discussion on why racism is bad, why slavery is bad, and why we need to overcome these barriers of judging others over things we cannot control in order to become a better species, or more so, just better people overall. It's sad that we need so many reminders nowadays, but sometimes people just don't care. They're stuck in their ways. I've seen it firsthand. It sucks, but what can you do? All you can do is control your actions and your thoughts. It's hard to change someone if they're not willing to reach you halfway. I just try to tell them that racism is bad and you should curb your bullshit, but here we are. We're still dealing with injustice in the world because of race.

Just my thoughts. In a few days, you'll be seeing my newest piece of work with the working title of "Long Distance", which is a story that will also get a lot of you talking. Just to tease you all a bit:

See, Applejack and I had traveled down memory lane (I bet you know how that goes) and she asked me about when I was in the Speedsters and stuff and I just remembered us, if you know what I mean. I know that this is a bit odd, considering I’m so close to Applejack now than ever before, but you think we could… just… meet up? I hope you know what I mean by that. We need to catch up, badly.
