Completed Audiobook and a Year of SH! · 11:36pm May 7th, 2020
Now I know that normally I update on Fridays, but when I was looking over the chapters for SH I saw that I published the first chapter on May 7th, 2019. That was about four days ago, and after a few frenetic days of coffee and writing, I've just managed to get this next chapter out in time for the story's anniversary! Just over 200k words written in a single year, which is three times the speed of EH! And we're in the last several chapters of SH now—I'm guessing eight more at the most—so soon it'll be time to mark that complete as well! The Frozen North is here!
In other news, some of you may remember my mentionings of an Empty Horizons audiobook. Well, after so long, I can quite proudly say that the series is complete! Skijaramaz has done a really amazing job of it across these 33 videos, mixing in sound effects and music and even the original soundtrack composed by my editor, Noc. If you enjoy audiobooks at all, or if you enjoyed EH, I'd recommend you check it out! Even as the author I find Ski's interpretation to often be refreshing and intriguing, and it gets me immersed in the work in a way that I just wasn't able to do as I was crafting it.
I'm pretty tired, so I'm gonna call it here. Mostly I just wanted to let you guys know about the audiobook, but I felt like mentioning the anniversary as well. Here's to hoping the next update doesn't take so long!
It did feel like things were about to kick off something big, but at the same time, there are a lot of plot threads and unanswered questions to tie together if there's only a few chapters left. Was this intended to be a trilogy by any chance?

It is! I'd estimate that SH will end with maybe a quarter of the story left to write after it, so don't worry about things ending abruptly and not being properly explored. We're past the halfway point now, but there's still quite a ways to go!

Awesome! I know I don't comment much, but this is one of the more enjoyable stories I've stumbled across here, and is always a treat when I see it has updated. Glad to hear there is more to come.
