Basically what I'm doing here. Eeh.
Oh yes. The story.
The base of it started as a cross between the 1632 series of Eric Flint's Assiti Shard 'verse, and MLP. Add some vague references to irrelevant original property and possibly a Doctor somewhere (I mean, he can be part of whatever canon he wants, so why the hell not), stir with candy draconequus, simmer for 10 hours, serve while warm. There, you have yourself a story. Remarkable, isn't it!
In any case, the effort/time I threw into making this first chapter made me realize I've got to tone shit down a bit if I'm going to get this story to propel itself forward at any readable rate. Preferably without losing all my readers to boredom. So, the coming chapters will likely be a bit shorter (I'd guess around 3k-ish words, as opposed to the 6k5 of this one) and, to make things more manageable, only focus on one story at a time. Probably. Not to say I can't juggle well, but it makes you lose focus sometimes.
In any case, more will come, hopefully within the week.
