Today...

Today I lost my best friend of eleven, nearly twelve years.
He'd been sick the last couple weeks. He'd been having joint trouble. The vet prescribed something that let him run around like a puppy again.
I took him to the vet when he stopped eating and they gave me some pills for him. He seemed to be doing better. His appetite wasn't much better, but he wasn't ignoring everything.

I know there are probably others out there, but the more the better, right? The best way to make sure everypony sees something when they need it is to have that something show up all over the place.

Well, buck...

I just spent almost a whole month reading a nearly two million word (and still counting!) epic.
Now I have over 100 new chapters to catch up on.
I don't know whether to be excited (I can reeeaaaaaad!) or dismayed (oh my god I am sooooo far behind on everything!)

Today I lost my best friend of eleven, nearly twelve years.

He'd been sick the last couple weeks. He'd been having joint trouble. The vet prescribed something that let him run around like a puppy again.

I took him to the vet when he stopped eating and they gave me some pills for him. He seemed to be doing better. His appetite wasn't much better, but he wasn't ignoring everything.

Then he stopped again. The vet wouldn't see him immediately. Said they'd get back to me and schedule an ultrasound.

Today, he stood up willingly, moving more like his old self. Went outside with the other two.

I found him... laying in a patch of sun like he'd laid down for a nap.

Goodbye you beautiful goofball.

I could use some kind words right now. He wasn't supposed to go yet...
