What's keeping me busy, part 2. · 6:42pm Mar 17th, 2020
Hey there, everyone.
It has been a while since I published a chapter for any of my fics, and I thought it wise to inform you all about what's been going on here.
Of course, by now you know about the crazy crap with this Corona virus that has been happening. Fortunately I am not infected (yet), or I am not yet aware of it if I am. But even if I am (or not), it still has affected me in some other ways.
Last year I posted a blog in which I explained that I was going back to school, and that this would get in the way of my already patchy schedule to write. I finally began school September last year, and have been busy to the point even the teachers had to discuss with one another how to continue. Normally, the course I follow would take 2 years to complete, but after speed running through it all, I may very well complete this education before the summer break, with my final exam one month from now...
At least, that was until Corona came along and forced everything to shut down. Let's just say I had a few choice words for this development, though I understand the reason to do so.
While it may still be possible for me to take the exam and finish school, it is also a possibility that it has to be delayed until such a time where it is safe for me and others to participate.
But at least, with most of the crap I had to deal with for school out of the way, I did find some time to write. Though, admittedly, my motivation has been rather lacking.
Still, I did finish the next installment for GoaP, and it is a 10k chapter. It does need a lot of fine tuning and editing, but I can't do that until the chapter of SS is done so I can make sure everything happening in both chapters lines up. That one, though, is just a bit more than 1k at the moment.
Again, my motivation has been lacking.
But at least I can say that, when the next chapters are released, the changeling arc that has been going on for so long now, will finally come to an end, allowing me to start working on the rest of the story. If nothing else, that will freshen things up a bit for me. Getting the creative juices flowing again.
So, there you have it.
I hope all of you are doing fine, and aren't affected too much by the madness that this year has brought. Only three months in and, what the fuck!?
