Two dreams, actually.
In the first one, about half of Season 9 didn’t happen - no idea which specific episodes were cut - and “The Ending of the End” was in fact only episode 13 out of 26, and we’d just been on hiatus since then, and episode 14 began with the Trio being broken out of their stoney prison by Grogar. Oh and also Discord was never Grogar and I think the Trio’s attack was like a “screw you we actually have the bell so we don’t need you we’ll just take your powers and go deal with the Mane-6” kind of thing, and Grogar breaking them out of stone and returning them to the lair was him basically going “okay so now that you got that out of your system are you gonna listen to me now?” And then from there it was all just a slice-of-life story in Grogar’s lair.
I don’t know whether this was a good dream or not, because on the one hand it made me incredibly happy while I was “watching” it, but on the other when I woke up I became super depressed at the fact that there is no hiatus and the series really did end...the way it did.
The other dream involved Mane-iac having somehow been brought to life from comics and she had taken Cozy Glow hostage, and the Mane 6 and Young 6 were trying to rescue her even though she was still a villainous character. It was all animated like an anime rather than MLP style, and just to complete it, “You Say Run” from My Hero Academia was playing.
Same thing. I don’t know whether or not I can call it a good dream due to the contrast of happiness while having it but depression upon waking up, though at least I basically got to watch something I have in the works play out.
Gallus was the one to get Cozy out of Mane-iac’s grasp, by the way.
Groovy.
This doesn't sound healthy if you're actually dreaming of what you wanted from a television show, half a year after the fact.

Well the latter dream at least was probably triggered by me having put together a Superhero playlist on my iPhone, and “You Say Run” was my choice to represent My Hero Academia.
Other highlights include “Black Tears” from Guardians of the Galaxy, “Maximum Effort” from Deadpool, and of course, “The Pumaman Theme” from The Pumaman.

well, I'm gonna post my own blog about it in its entirety, but to explain-no, it's too long. Let me sum up.
The original show aired from 1982 to 1986. I had a dream about a year ago where after it was canceled in the US, the entire production up and moved to Germany, where they made four more seasons and ended on a proper series finale. A week ago, I had another dream about these 'lost seasons', including a three-episode arc where someone sends remote-controlled Trans Am drones coated in the same molecular-bonded shell against KITT, and an episode where Michael Knight had to catch up on paperwork, which was a glorified clip show.

Objectively I know that there’s such a thing as a good clip show, but I’m struggling to think of any good clip show episodes in anything I’ve watched...
Makes sense; with manes now officially anti-magic (and others have noted how that retroactively makes her a believable team-level threat), it'd come down to the three members of the Mane Six with sharp bits attached. (We still don't really know how changelings work, but we do know that Ocellus is The Smart One and therefore out of her league against anyone whose primary job is getting into fights)
Yeah, dreams revolving around television shows and other forms of media tend to seem really strange/confusing in hindsight. Going off of personal experience, I can recall one particularly odd dream of mine that consisted solely of me listening to a nonexistent John Lennon album from the mid-1980s.
Point being, it was weird.

Revolutionary Girl Utena did excellent clip show episodes, in no small part because they snuck in crucial setting reveals and development in those.
The second dream sounds similar to one of my random story ideas, which is like the premise of "Power Ponies" but featuring the Young Six and Cozy Glow, who gets all the power she dreamed of but has to use it for good in order to get them out of the comic book :)
Haven't had any dreams about the show lately, but still occasionally lose an hour or so of sleep if I let my mind get stuck on the finale.
Hmm, it occurs to me that second dream concept could be adaptable to your continuity from Trouble in Tiatarta. Huh, does that continuity have an official name?

Not yet. I alternate between "Refromverse" and "Tiatartaverse" but at the same time I don't really want to just call it a "verse". Ironically the very same nomenclature I think I might have pioneered is now kind of twee for me. The Accidentally Series? I dunno.
Hee...I do actually have an idea on that front that I've been developing, but I want to finish Season 2 of the Lunaverse first.

Huh. I just had a dream yesterday that all my Magic the Gathering cards were stolen, and I had to win them back with the really bad cards the thieves didn't take.
I haven't played MtG for a few months, and before that for a year, but I still had this dream about it.
Are you planning on making stories based off of these dreams? ...Please?
