Update for March · 6:25pm Mar 4th, 2020
Quick update since I got an exam in 2 hours, my 2nd in two days (not too bad), but my 4th of 8 in a span of 14 days. These are midterms and finals, which feels weird, cause I'm having two midterms this week, and then my finals are the Monday and Tuesday of the week after next? Quarters are weird...
Anyway, this term, I've been waking up at around 4am, everyday, during the week. And then I work on math homework until at least 5pm each day. Needless to say, I'm mentally exhausted on the weekends to the point where I sleep 18 hours on both Saturday and Sunday before I get to do it again the upcoming week.
So, essentially, I haven't had any time to write. But...
My finals are in 12 days! So, I'm hoping to get the time to write the first chapter and get a massive jump on the second chapter during finals week and spring break. Thankfully my next term's schedule is going to be less, I have one fewer class and the hours will be more manageable (Ring theory, Number theory, and Statistics).
My hope with this story is to get started on, what I believe to be the juiciest part of the series, the Dark Tournament arc by the end of May/June. I plan on also carrying this story through the Chapter Black arc too. Though, this Chapter Black version/arc will be... heavily different.
The cast and roles are set, I think it's a nice blend of EqG characters and Yu Yu Hakusho characters. Some aged up, some aged up lesser than what they should be. I definitely think the cast will work well together in the long run, and I already have the first few 'cases' planned out- from those that follow Yu Yu and those that definitely do not.
I also want to thank everyone who has checked out my story! I did not expect such a positive reception. So, that will be my main focus. I do have some other ideas: Sunset becoming a Siren (a oneshot), Sunset never going through the portal and being taken under Queen Chrysalis' wing, and Sunset going through the portal, but arriving into the Fire Emblem: Three Houses world, and being adapted by Jeralt, who grows up as the younger sister to Female Byleth. Whether or not any of those stories make it out there, no idea. I'm still ticked I lost my handwritten notebook, I had two completely written oneshots in there...
Lastly, I'm also working on something with a friend. He's taken over a majority of the writing for now, but I'm hoping I'll be able to help out again with it soon! - Again, have had ZERO time to do any writing. -
Welp, that's it. And that was far from a quick update!
Basically boils down to this: story isn't dead, expect an update in the coming weeks.

I feel like I got everything right on both today's and yesterday's exams, but I think I did something wrong despite getting the right answer.
I'll hopefully find out for one exam tomorrow.
But, who knows. I'm just tired.
