Hey everyone!
Sorry that there hasn't been a Shadows chapter over the holidays, I've been busy and the finale to Act VI is proving to be a long one, so the extra time is a bit needed. I'm hoping to have it out either this Friday or next Friday, depending on when I can communicate with Applety. She started a new job over in the UK (we are also a time zone apart now so that complicates things) and so it means communicating back and forth can be a challenge at times. Either way, I am expecting the next chapter to be the longest one in the story yet (I know I've said this multiple times in the past, but it seems a lot of these chapters are getting longer and longer).
We will finally learn a little more about what's going on in the background, a bit about Serenade's past and what is to come. Naturally, I'm sure readers are wondering what Act VII holds, but I can't reveal it just yet. I can say, however, if all goes according to plan then you actually should get some concept art of stuff that is to come prior to the chapter release. Applety actually deserves a lot of credit here as she helped a lot with building Act VII's characters and such.

Other Projects
Silence of a Siren: It's still on the back burner, but I haven't forgotten about it. In its current state, it's a little over halfway done. I will probably get to work on it when I finish with my other side story and pump out Act VI's finale. Don't worry, you'll get a conclusion to Adagio's story, I promise!
Shredded Fabric: Consider this an official title reveal. The next upcoming story in the ShadowsVerse is called Shredded Fabric. The story focuses around Rarity and follows her from around age 10 and brings her up to somewhere in Act VII. Expect to learn more about the universe.
I expect to finish it sometime in the next month or so, but it is intended as a "one-shot". In other words, no chapters, just a decent length short story. The cover will likely be done by Applety, we're still in talks of how that will go down.
Crossover: I'm sure plenty are eager to know about the upcoming crossover that I hinted at before.
It's still on, and I've actually been in fairly lengthy talks with a writing team of the other story that will be the other half of the crossover for the past few weeks. Discussions are going well, and I feel we're making some good headway already. I can't reveal anything yet about what the crossover will be or what the plot will pertain to, but my intention is that it is going to be "canon" to the events of Shadows, but not "necessary" to continue reading. It will be a stand-alone experience that can add to your enjoyment of both stories.
I want to make sure it's a story that fans of both stories can enjoy but also do not require extensive knowledge of both universes to understand.
We are currently discussing a preliminary plot idea on how this crossover could come to be, and it seems like we're already really clicking on what could make things exciting. There's a lot of great material to use, but I'll keep you all updated when we get closer to finalizing anything.
Editing: Lastly, I want to do a major edit sweep through a ton of chapters sometime this month to make sure I catch anything I missed. I know some of the image links in earlier chapters broke, so I have to fix those.
