    River City Equestria Girls?

Seriously, that's Pinkie Pie on the left, and Rainbow Dash on the right. Tell me I'm wrong.

I will not write a fanfic about the two of them getting into all the fights.

    Probably.

An "I don't have livejournal anymore" sort of update.

    It snowed yesterday.

Which just reminded me how much I don't like winter. It wasn't even a bad snow, just enough of a dusting to linger for a little bit. First one of the season. And I even had the day off from work, due to my schedule, so it's not like I had to do anything ...

    So I didn't.

    Happy Halloween!

So yeah. Despite various distractions (Steam had Darkest Dungeon for UNDER FOUR BUCKS), I've managed to hammer out a ridiculously shippy conclusion to the self indulgent Rarijack story I started.

So that's fun? I gave myself a deadline to finish things on Oct 31, so that's what I did, dangit. Hopefully you guys will enjoy.

Well hello, FiMfiction. Are people still here? Or has the fandom dried up and blown away yet? People kept on saying that would happen. Or something.

In any case, I'm currently slacking from working on my NaNoWriMo ... which I'm mostly looking at as "National Write a Novella Month" at this point. But hey, 500 words a day is pretty decent, right? At least when I do it consistently. Which I'm ... not doing just yet. Ehem. But at least I'm around 15k in and have the plot vaguely plotted out, even if the whole thing is a ramshackle mess that I may hide in a drawer at the end of the month.

But I digress.

In other slacking type stuff, I happened to be clicking around FiMFiction, at which point I stumbled across Rambling Writer's The Amulet Job. And, hack that I am, I was like "Oh hey, I wrote this story before he did! Twice!" Which, of course, is terribly unfair, considering that Rambling Writer and I are drawing from the same tropes and so on. In fact, it's pretty fun to see other people writing pony-heist stories, 'cause they're fun. I mean, even the show got in on that, right? ... kinda. Twilight's Seven was a weird episode. Though getting back to The Amulet Job, I find it kinda funny Rambling Writer featured several of the same characters that I did: Lyra, Bon Bon (a.k.a. Special Agent Sweetie Drops), and even Derpy/Ditzy. Though running a con without Flim and/or Flam seems like a wasted opportunity.

I don't read much fanfic, to be honest-- but in this case, I heartily recommend The Amulet Job. It's rather silly (arguably sillier than my own oeuvre, which is saying something), but still well put together and entertaining. For the first three chapters, at least-- I haven't gotten any farther just yet. And, y'know, it's also incomplete, so here's to hoping Rambling Writer finishes it before too terribly long. To which end y'all should go read said story and encourage Rambling Writer to finish it. Should be fun!

It may be incomplete, but it updated literally today. I don't think we need to worry about this one ending up a deadfic. But yes, it's a very good heist thus far.

Best of luck with NaNoWriMo!

Hi. I'm still here. :)

(Disclaimer: TheAncientPolitzanian does not represent the fandom-that-might-not-even-exist-anymore at large.)

Come on, this is where you get bored and write some magical Flash Sentry Papers fiction... We need our fix.

Trying to get Sweetie Belle - Hogwarts Exchange Student further along the track.

Still here. You aren't gonna get rid of me that easy.

just wait- when Pony Life starts airing, this place will light up faster then you can say "Teen Titans Go Clone"

My stories are all chugging away. I've just hit points where I just don't know where to proceed.

There's one that was set immediately after Flutter Brutter, where I had a premise but no defined end point.
Plus in my major story, Rainbow Dash, ironically, is slowing me down.

Still here, and still reading. Currently on some show rewrites and one where sweetie belle goes to Hogwarts. Though most of the others I have followed are still updating fairly regularly.
I'll definitely check out that story though.

Originality is one of the most overrated qualities in fiction.
