Ponest Dungeon September Update

Just giving everyone an update on the progress of the second arc of Ponest Dungeon.

I’ve completed four chapters and over seventeen-thousand words so far. I consider it to be decent progress, and I’m starting to get to the part where wholesale hiring and butchery may or may not occur. (Hint: it’s the Ponest Dungeon)

So, with the company’s high, and often lethal turnover rate, I feel that I have two options, and I would like to know what the readership thinks of them:

Option one: When choosing and naming red shirts expendable characters new hires, I draw solely from the show’s exhaustively long list of cannon characters. (There are quite a few)

Option two: I supplement the list of cannon characters with OCs submitted by the readers. (There would be a limit on the outlandishness of the names, so nothing like: Aricorno-Neko-Twilight-Nyan-Chan.)

I’m thinking of option two as a way to give a shout-out to my readers... by having their lovable OCs brutally murdered. That’s... like an incentive? Right? Anywho, before I even start planning to do that, I just wanted to get feedback first.

I'd say stick to canon. The meat grinder's more emotionally impactful if everyone recognizes the grist.

I’ve been thinking about it, but Super-Robot-Aricorno-Neko-Twilight-Chan-Sama is a tough character to write.

I would prefer option 1 my self taking cannon characters is preferable to me.

Also I think you know this but if you don't there are modes for darkest dungeon and one of them is called "Pony" meant to be reference to the show I like the class so I am recommending it to you.

I know this mod. But I’m sticking with the more well known ones at the moment, like Marvin Seo’s and Exaelus’s, plus one or two of Apple Action Jack’s and Carnifex’s. Plus... they’re all already ponies.
