Aquaman's Feel-Bad Story Time Hour (Or: At This Point Whatever's Going On with Me and Flurry Heart Is Frankly None of Your Business)

Did you enjoy (in a figurative sense) me writing about Flurry Heart being in a toxic relationship in "And I Hope You Die"? Have you been thinking (in a literal sense), "You know, I bet the result of that toxic relationship's end is going to be that cotton-candy pony princess doing things that would be war crimes if she didn't win the war she crimed in?"

Monophobia Postmortem (Or: I Have Now Released My New Shit and My Fell-Off-Ness Is In a State of Constant Flux)

    "You used to be big."
"I am big. It's the [website] that got small."

(Come on, I've been living literally on Sunset Boulevard for a year and a half now. Gimme just this one bit of referential self-aggrandizement.)

I Ain't Fall Off, I Just Ain't Release My New Shit

That's true, by the way, not just a cheeky two-year-old Lil Nas X reference. I really have been working on lots of stuff over the past year or so: a few TV pilot scripts that I'm generally okay with as learning experiences, some networking-type stuff here in LA with other "pre-WGA" (which is our fun term for "aspiring" [which is our extra-fun

    'Sup

Hey, horsefic folks. How it's hanging?

I hope "in Bellevue" is at least some of your answers, because that's where I'll be in a few hours and will remain through the EFNW weekend. I'll be, as always, six-foot-four and affably daydrunk, so say hi to anyone who meets that description and sooner or later it's bound to be me.

    Regarding Less-Than-Positive Interpretations of Pride

Let's get a quick disclaimer out of the way before we really get going: I don't like foalcon. By "foalcon" here, I refer specifically to M-rated stories that depict characters who are very clearly meant to be minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct with other minors and/or adults. Not a fan of it! I find it gross on a personal level, I think it's morally reprehensible that a site of this

Unofficial List of Books Available at the Golden Oaks Bookstore (Y'all) · 3:54am Jul 22nd, 2019

Almost done with the "y'all" thing, guys, I swear. Mama didn't raise no quitter.

Unfortunately, due to unexpected time constraints, the bookstore's catalog--i.e. the version of what's below that also includes story descriptions and prices--isn't quite ready for primetime yet. What is ready, thankfully, is a (hopefully) complete list of titles and authors that'll be for sale at the booth in two weeks' time. However, this list remains unofficial for the time being, as it currently only contains books for which I have firm confirmation of availability. If your book isn't listed here and should be (or is listed and shouldn't be), please let me know as soon as possible through either PM or by emailing bronybookstore@gmail.com.

...oh my God. And I can't even goooooo :fluttershbad:

Yep, it certainly will be!

Provided I can fit 10 copies of all 55 books behind the table.

Which I probably can.

Probably.

FYI: I made a hundred bookmarks to give out with books. I'm starting to think I should have printed a thousand. One per customer?

This is the cooooooooolest thing. I'm broke and not even going to Bronycon, but rest assured I would buy every single book if I could.

5092441
I once, long ago, counted every book on the two overstuffed shelves in my room one by one, and the total came to somewhere in the... I wanna say high 400s? Two shelves is a chonk but not unmanageable, especially boxed up. (Also that's across a wide range of sizes, so YMMV.)

5092431
(add me plz, I wanna unload these books I dun got printed) :unsuresweetie:

Bra Quest! and Other Tales of Limestone Pie - CoffeeMinion

Looking forward to it. :)
...
Aaaand hoping that my luggage is large enough and the seams in my bag won't split. :twilightblush:

I'm going to be buying one of almost half of those, so really you'll only have to fit 9 of every title behind the booth.

Have you joined this group yet?

So yeah, you know there's literally only a week left to sort out the fine details, right?

>Like... how do we GIVE you the books?
>How do we price the books?
>Should we be using price tags?
>Are you gonna have a price sheet with 56 titles to look through?
>Matter of fact, how do you even know the price we want to sell at? I haven't told you, I'm pretty sure that survey thing only asked for a rough idea of the price.
>Should we be telling you the firm and final price for each book BEFORE the con?
>If customers pay you by credit card, how do we get paid? And when?
>Are you prepared to accept credit cards?

I feel like these are really important questions! :raritydespair:

This is gonna be a trip.

Man, I really want to go.this year, bit I know it just isn't going to be possible. Maybe I'll be able to talk someone into getting me some stuff and mailing it.

Holy dang, yes! Important stuff here.

Tl;dr is yes to all those. In a little more detail, I’d ideally need opening stock before 7 PM Wednesday at the con if at all possible (so the union can schlep everything in at once), but if it’s not you can just bring 10 books by the booth and I’ll add ‘em to the pile/display. Either way, the catalog I’m referencing here is the price sheet; I’ll have a finalized version of that posted here prior to the con starting and printed out for folks to read at the booth.

Price range was something I sent a survey around about a couple months ago, but if you’d prefer something specific you can let me know through PM/email (that was a late addition to the requested submission information, IIRC, so there are a few folks I’ll be following up with about that). Likewise, I’ll be distributing payments through PayPal or Venmo after the con’s over based on records I’ll keep during open hours; that was another thing I asked for during the initial submission, so I’ll be following up with folks about that too.

Lastly, I’ll be using little sticker dots to code display copies with their respective price, and I’ve got a Square reader for credit card purchases.

My Anthology of Madness will also be there.

Updated the top comment, will update the list ASAP. Please PM or email me a short summary, PayPal/Venmo address, and any pricing guidelines you’d like me to follow beyond the standard settled on from the prior survey.

My book is not included on the list and should be

5092534
Gonna be giving you the books likely Thursday late or Friday morning.

5092534 Good! That about answered everything, thanks! Likely I won't even be in town until late thursday night, so probably I'll bring the books at the con opening on friday. Not ideal, I suppose, because apparently the con is "open" on thrusday.

Anyhow as for pricing, if the books are in sort of pricing brackets or whatever, I don't want to inconvenience you with a 'special' price. I was thinking $10, would that fit in with the other books? And I don't believe I filled out that survey. Was that for the dead specifics of each book or just a general idea? Not sure if I should do it in case I have already... maybe I just email you the price and book summary?

5092548
Alright. Sent you the info.

Yes! So glad to see my book on the list. Can't wait to see everybody else's up in Baltimore!

My back already hates you. And so does my wallet.

Will there only be 10 copies of each book available? And if that is the case, is there a way to reserve a book or is it first come first served? Sorry if you've answered this elsewhere, I'm just very excited.

In anticipation of physical space restrictions (which honestly may not end up being a problem after all), I’m currently planning to stock a maximum of 10 copies of any one book at the booth at a time. However, most people ordered more than 10 copies of their book, so that number definitely doesn’t reflect general availability.

I see no anthology of short works by Obselescence. I am disappoint.
