Quick Notice · 12:00am Jul 21st, 2019
So... yeah, I just wanted to say, as I'm sure some of you have already noticed... the latest chapter of Winds of the Past has now been split up into three parts. Hopefully this will make it a bit more reasonable, and ah, less intimidating to read...
I had originally thought that having an over 60,000 word chapter was kinda cool, and wouldn't end up being as big an issue as it ended up being... Yeeaaah, sorry about that. I see now, in hindsight, how unreasonable that was...
But it is fixed now!
I mean, the chapters are still 20,000 words each, but hopefully now it's at least a bit more approachable.
Oh good! QwQ
Eh, rather, I was 1/3 done with the chapter, only to have to read more!!!
Thank you.
It is still a bit big, but it's not like the other chapters in the story aren't that big either.
I personally see nothing wrong with a 60k word chapter. We have bookmarks and the like. A chapter should be as long or as short as it needs to be to tell the content within. Not adhere to some arbitrary metric like word count. Anyone "intimidated" by a chunky chapter in a 220k+ fic is doing something incredibly wrong with their life choices.
