Holy shit, guys! The Dazzlings are back!
I can't tell you how much I love seeing them again. They were one of my all-time favorite things about MLP/EQG. Also, I will have to say that I feel a little vindicated since more people than I would expect tried to insist to me that the Dazzlings could literally no longer sing anymore. I was always of the opinion that the losses of their jewels was more like wearing shoes. It enhances, but it's not necessary. Some time without shoes and your feet will be like leather, allowing you to walking in places where tender, used-to-shoes feet wouldn't dare tread initially. I reckoned the Dazzlings were the same. Maybe they wouldn't have hypnotic powers anymore, but I thought they would certain be able to sing/talk after a time. Glad to see that's what the writers went with.
Now if they could just go ahead and read Resolution and adopt my headcanon regarding the siren/hippocampi unions...
For my part, I loved your siren/hippocampus headcanon. It answered a lot of questions that were raised by some visually-effective but lore-murky artistic choices in the movie.

Glad you enjoyed it! They really do seem like separate entities to me at the end of Rainbow Rocks.
Speaking of... maybe I should re-watch Rainbow Rocks today. At least the songs. Wow, I'm going to be on some kind of Dazzlings high for the rest of the day!

I've found that one ages pretty well. I was a little meh on it when it came out and it has slowly grown on me, so much that it would probably have a spot on a hypothetical "top ten G4 media" list.
I finally watched this, the Dazzlings were, in a word, awesome, and I quite liked it!
Good to see they made it, and didn't starve, or whatever.
Very much hoping this indicates more Siren EQG activities in the near future, even if it runs the risk of brutally ripping our headcanons to shreds with inferior fanfiction Hasbro conveniently dubs 'canon'.

It would be nice if they remained villains. I'd like to see their resurgence. I do love a good redemption arc, but man, MLP goes to that well every time. If they come back, I hope they are twice as bad.

I wouldn't mind them being redeemed, with the caveat that they have redeemed themselves rather than having to be so because of Rainboom interference. At least that would be a change of pace.
I find myself doubting that they'd be villains. The video didn't show them being villainous at all. In fact, they appeared exceptionally friendly. Though I suppose that could have been them being sneaky to get into peoples' good graces.

I don't think that they'll be villains if they come back. The video definitely has a "we are reformed" vibe to it. It would just be nice if MLP/EQG didn't do it again.
The self-reformation would also be interesting. It would be cool to see Adagio in the same vein as Trixie. Reformed, but still with her edge.
