Here's the problem: shadewings have been changing a lot lately, and the current canon with them would outright break this story as it is. The only way I could continue it is if Discord showed up and broke the fourth wall by installing a software update that changed Hunter's body. Even then, I don't want to use him.
See, I got attached to the name Hunter and took it as the name of Midi's teammate. It would just feel so weird for this Hunter to exist at the same time as the real Hunter.
Some of the changes to shadewings include no longer being limited to just telepathy to speak, no longer having horns, though I think I might have already changed that part of the story that described it, and some shadewings can have fur instead of scales if cross bred with frostwings, the arctic cousins of shadewings. (My sona's now a crossbreed, too; I have fuzzy fur now. X3)
So, yeah, if I ever get back into writing fimfics, I'm probably not gonna continue this one at all. Sorry.
Well I mean, you don't have to fit into the canon of wherever the shadewings came from. You can stick with what you have at the moment.
You also don't have to use Discord as a scapegoat for the changes, you could have other reasons for him to change over time.
There's plenty of ways to solve the issue or work around it.
But while I'm sad to see a potentially good story die, it's your decision.
