My stories are open source! · 1:21pm Oct 12th, 2017
Let's face it, I don't have time to work on fanfics anymore, and while it would be a shame to cancel them all, I can't pick a single person I can trust with them who also has time to devote to them. There's only one option: my recently-found passion for open source!
As of now, all my stories here are free under CC-BY-SA 4.0. This means you're free to share, repost, and modify them, so long as your version grants future users the same permissions and you give me credit for the original work. This means you can continue my stories or even branch them off from previous chapters, changing events from any point.
Maybe Conrad met a different pony in the woods? Maybe you'll be yet another brony in Equestria? Maybe Blackberry Pie will stop being a dick? Whatever you want, do it!
Also, show me what you make. If I like it, I'll feature it. :3

Nice; a really considerate move for your readers. Personally, I think I would like a try at Stunt Double, but not so much a branch off as a continuation; with my own idea for a movie he could star in. Is there anything you'd like to share that might be important? Does he come from a different hive than Chrissie? What terms did he leave on? Do you have the notes somewhere from when you first thought of it?
Thanks for the chance to continue something really awesome!
Technically, CC-BY-SA is more correctly known as a copyleft license.
Open-source doesn't really have much meaning in a medium such as HTML-format prose writing where the "source code" and what's published are basically the same thing.
(Compare, for example, music or video, where you can't retrieve the source tracks once they've been mixed/edited together. That's why copyleft licenses for software such as the GPL add a "you must share the form you prefer to edit it in" clause.)

I'll try to compile some notes later. It's all kinda rattling around in my head.

Smartass. You know what I mean.

Others might not realize that subtlety. It's something I care about, so I said that for their benefit.
(You'd be surprised how many people who post code on GitHub don't even understand that copyright is "all rights reserved" unless you specify a license.)

Cool, thanks!
Will you be working on any of them at all anymore? I liked where you were taking Hunter the Shadewing.

That story is too far behind how the canon of KL has developed. Shadewings have been altered, and there's now an official shadewing named Hunter, so I don't think I'll be continuing that story as it is.

Rewrite? If you want to, that is.
Well, anyway you go, I do hope you start writing again. Your an incredible writer!
