8500 words into next chapter · 3:41am May 29th, 2019
Pinkie and Twilight scenes done. Wasn't expecting to finish them or to reach nearly 9000 words yet, but I had a good few days of progress.
Things on the docket- brief Applejack scene (was going to have Applejack and Rarity talk this chapter but due to the feeling of having each couple talk about their problems in one chapter or blow up at each other- I thought cutting it to just Twilight x Pinkie and Flutterdash might be better. Compared to the steamy stuff or anger of those pairs, Applejack and Rarity act a little more reserved.
Have to write adjacent scenes with the remnants of the Southern Army since in the story, it's been a few hours, and Diamond Tiara needs at least a short scene with how I let her story stop.
So overall, it's close in theory- Flutterdash scenes are pushing this chapter towards the height of stuff but stuff is popping off and personally I feel like I've been building up to them finally doing something more together. Hence why this chapter is taking so long. Trying to get those scenes straightened out in my head.
So technically I have maybe four or five more scenes to write. No promises if that means 5000 more words, but I want this chapter to end on a note that feels overall like a sort of final part to the chapter.
