    One Year

It's hard to believe it's been a year since my dad died. Sometimes it feels like a decade ago, sometimes it feels like it was just last week.

The State of Me and My Stories · 12:30am May 22nd, 2019

Hello there, fellow adventurers!

I'm genuinely sorry for the lack of updates lately. I won't laud you with the details, but I've been dealing with a lot of craziness over the last couple weeks. I've been taking final exams for the spring semester, a week-long choir tour, and moving to a new location on campus. I have all of my stuff in my new room now, though I have yet to unpack anything but the bare essentials. I've also come to the harrowing realization that the campus cafeteria is closed over the summer, so I'm trying to find a steady source of cheap food, which is not an easy task.

I've honestly been really exhausted, but I should be able to pick updates back up again soon! I've got a couple weeks before the Summer semester starts, so time will soon be on my side!

When it comes to Penn and Stone: Dynamic Duo, I doubt I need to tell you guys that this is a climactic finale. I want to make certain that I get it absolutely right now that Cha'Qued has entered the fight. This story has been progressing for more than 5 years and, believe me, I am more eager than anyone to see it finished, but I will. not. rush. it.

For Shadowed Skies, that story will be picking up again as soon as I've finished Penn and Stone. I keep telling myself P&S is almost over and it won't be much longer, but I am starting to worry you all think I have forgotten it. I assure you I have not. I want to start finishing projects, and this one is unfortunately my 2nd priority.

The Multiverse in a Nutshell is, as always, a stress-relief project. As such, it occupies the lowest priority of my ongoing works. Seeing as I'll have more time in the future as I settle into a routine for the summer, I am hoping to work on it more, but I refuse to let myself become stressed over what was supposed to be a project to unwind with.

Daughter of Chaos is still on hiatus and will remain so until I have finished Shadowed Skies. I am considering giving it one final rewrite in order to fit with the rest of the changes I've made to other stories that come first chronologically, but that is not a decision I take lightly. Clever readers have likely spotted the allusions to Eris that I've been sprinkling into the other stories, along with her cameo while freeing Chrysalis in Penn and Stone.

For anyone wondering whether or not the series ending will impact my plans, no. Possibly my motivation, but not my plans. I already have all of my current stories planned to conclusion, as well as one more that has yet to be named in any other stories or blog posts, a possible "finale" to the Happy Adventuring Saga. The only thing that could take me out of the game would be horrific maiming or the website itself being destroyed.

If you're interested in helping me stay fed over the next couple months, please consider contributing on my Ko-fi page!

Anyway, that's enough begging. Updates are coming soon, I promise! As soon as I can without compromising quality. Thank you all so much for your continued support, you all mean the world to me!

Happy adventuring!
-Pennington
