The Scent of Prey is Being Worked on + FoE:TAoO After-Action Report · 2:12am May 17th, 2019
Starting off with some good news: Fallout Equestria: The Angels of Oasis performed exactly as I'd hoped, briefly featuring and wracking up 48 likes over the course of a week. While this may not sound like much next to the RGRE powerhouses, TSoP, AGP, Movie Night, and FG, FoE stories have a habit of being roundly ignored and in fact 48 likes puts it in a two-way tie for 15th place out of the 157 stories currently sitting in the Fallout Equestria Group's one-shots folder. if you only account for number of likes instead of overall rating. Make no mistake, those 48 likes may as well be 480 for the general lack of interest in FoE sidefics this site has.
I am a bit surprised at how many downvotes the story has garnered, it was in fact 12/0 at one point which implies whoever did the downvoting felt they had a good reason to do so instead of angrily reacting to what they perceived as spam in at least half of the cases. My best guess is they felt the story was either too short, not grimdark enough, or got weirded out by seeing romance, sex, and death tagged to the same story without a dark tag. Maybe they thought the title of the story sucked. It's not quite as inspired as Foolers Rush In I'll admit. Whatever the reasons, the story was a huge success. Yay!

So after considering what new story I might try next, most of my ideas involve thestrals, I settled on finishing TSoP. The story has suffered as a result of being trapped in hiatus limbo and A Gentleman's Price has actually managed to outpace it for growth despite being a sequel. Such a shameful display cannot stand! As much as I admittedly want to just let the story stand in all its amateurish glory, I did promise to improve it so that is what I'm going to do.
When will the new chapter be completed? Look out for it in a couple of weeks. The new version of TSoP boasts much beefier chapters now that I'm just overall better at writing the narration and detailed description. Chapter Two, which as you may recall involved Pinkie Pie will do so again. Honestly, I can't stand chapter two. One of the worst chapters in TSoP. Not this time around! We're going to get Pinkie Pie again and this time I'm holding nothing back! She's your problem to deal with now... and Richard's.
I'm glad the story did well :3
