I was thinking about it, and I was wondering if Spike should 'cheat' in the Battle City Tournament. The reason I put quotes around cheat is because he doesn't do what he does in order to win, he does it to help a friend, but it ends up working in his favor. If you watched the original Yu-Gi-Oh Duelist Kingdom arc, you'll remember that Yugi gave Joey the Time Wizard card, which became one of his best cards when combined with Baby Dragon. However, in the finals when Joey uses Time Wizard to turn Baby Dragon into Thousand Dragon, it also turns Yugi's Dark Magician into Dark Sage, which allows Yugi to win. While I doubt he had that planned all along, some people say that Yugi cheated by doing that. Should Spike do something similar, and if so, do you have any suggestions on how?

How about not really cheat but bend the rules. Plus in the show and the mangafor Yu-Gi-Oh the characters are always cheating technically by our definition of the rules.

The reason Dark Magician became Dark Sage is because Yugi was team battling with Joey. This is like in a rpg where you can use items, magic's, and other on your teammate. So it not cheating but teamwork and beside Yugi and Joey are against cheating.

The first time dark Sage appeared was not in a tag team duel but when Joey and Yugi were dueling one-v-one in the finals of the Duelist Kingdom Arc the only had played time wizard to try and get out thousands dragon how to beat Yugi's Dark Magician After Time wizard accelerated the age of Dark Magician.

Only in the anime. In the actual game Yu-Gi-Oh you have to play problem is vacation with time was to get thousands dragon but I'm not so sure with dark Sage. That's the one I'm iffy with.

In the actual card game, you need to use Polymerization to fuse Baby Dragon and Time Wizard to make Thousand Dragon, and Dark Sage can only be summoned by tributing Dark Magician right after you activated Time Wizard's effect and called the coin flip right
