Little Monster is cancelled. I'm sorry that I couldn't give you all a proper ending, but below are the reasons as to why it's been cancelled.
It's been a long time since I've written about this story. An alternate take on what would happen if Twilight became Midnight at the Friendship Games, but an infant version of it. And while the idea was a good one at the start and one that I invested a lot of time in it, I've sort of oversaturated it with side-plots that are trying to pull it down through the dirt. At this point, there's still a courtroom case to resolve, there's the issue of a baby Gloriosa Everfree at hand, there's that whole pixie arc, and I feel that I've built this story up too much for me to continue.
One of the key elements of storytelling is that you don't pump it too full of multiple plots without being able to properly and efficiently resolve them. But at the same time, if you add in something unnecessary, yet choose to carry on with it, it causes the whole story to become one giant mess. I've done that exact thing with the court case and Gloriosa Everfree. I feel that one way or another, I'm going to disappoint people by continuing either because I won't be able to focus and collect all of the plot points I've weaved into this story, and because it is getting to the point where the novelty has kind of worn off.
With that being said, I hope that you guys did enjoy the story for what it's worth. Again, I'm sorry that there was no proper ending to it, but considering that I'm also weeding out my backlog a bit if I keep working on a story like this with the roots too tangled as they are, I'm not going to get anywhere. I need to clean the mess I've made for myself.
