Sooooo much has happened since my last post.
The retail store I was working at Gymboree and then Crazy8 have first filed for bankruptcy, chapter 11. So the company was assessing their assets and such. Well, I stuck around for way longer than I should have for what I was getting paid. For awhile I had no General/Store Manager orrrr Assistant Manager at the end of my time with the company. And well the District Manager would avoid talking to me about a raise and compensation for acting as store manager. Sooooo I quit in September of 2018. And wow was it weird leaving a job I cared about that I stayed in for 4 years. But it was the right choice. And now of the 3 stores under the Gymboree brand only one will remain open. All Gymboree and Crazy8 stores and online will be closing. But the last one Jaine and Jack will keep their doors open and join the Gap line of businesses. Craziness I tell you.
Well, I now still work in retail. Yet I am working with women's clothing at Ann Taylor and it is a much nicer, happier and healthier work environment. I never realized how depressed I was working at Crazy8. But it think I have found a good spot for quite some time. Yay!
Sadly, I've had another family death. My great aunt. Happily there has been a wedding in my family. My cousin finally married his longtime girlfriend.
And sadly still...my man and I have had to first help our cat Peant cross the rainbow bridge December 11th, 2018. And....and it still hurts...and even sader still...our last cat of 4. When I started dating my man we had 4 cats...well she was 23 in people years...meaning 103 in kitty years. Agh she had multiple organs shutting down, a very very low temperature for a cat of 83f, should be 100f something. And she was blind without us knowing. But March 14th, 2019, Bella has crossed the rainbow bridge to meet with...Bubba, Boots and Peanut...at least all four of them are together now...
Not sure how I feel about not having a cat in the house...but its tough right now...
I'm just happy that both of us have each other and have stable jobs. Not sure what will follow...but I know we both want cats in the house again...just not yet...its too soon...
