New Story: Love, And Other Felonies · 4:59pm Mar 1st, 2019
There are several things I learned these past two months. I learned that it's worthwhile and fun to try something new (several things* in this case), I learned the processes of dictatorship, I FINALLY learned how to write Rainbow Dash, but most of all I learned to just stop trying to guess how long a story is going to be because if I say "I'm going to just write something about 10,000 words" I'm going to end up with a goddamn 27,000 word novella. A novella I wrote TWICE because the first draft is in pen and ink.
The story's complete, with new chapters going live every five days or so. Unless I get impatient and do like one a day.

Anyway, this is "Love, And Other Felonies" I hope you like it.
*Including but not limited to:
- Writing a romance (I know I technically did that twice before, but this is a different kettle of corn)
- Writing main characters as the focal point for the first time since like 2011
- Figuring out how to keep them in character while existing in an AU with different pasts and circumstances
- Figuring out how this romance works particularly with this version of these characters in this AU
- Darkfic (how dark it is I honestly can't even judge, the scale slides around)
- Writing a straight-up actual villain for once
- Landing a concept-heavy premise with a buttload of worldbuilding with little space or time to do it in with no time for re-dos
