So with us coming into a new year I’m considering what to write next. So I’ve decided to write out where my current thoughts are for what I was considering writing in the coming months. So feel free to tell me what interests you and what you would like to see from me in the future.
The Winningverse
Trixie and Starlight babysit Flurry Hearts
Comedy, short story.
Trixie returns to Ponyville to go on a date with her fillyfriend Starlight, but when Twilight ends up sick with feather flu Starlgiht volunteers to take care of the pint sized terror that is Flurry Hearts. Things aren’t made easy as Flurry keeps casting wild magic, evil doomsday cults want to kidnap her, the Spirit of Harmony shows up to try and “purify” Flurry, and a coven of senior citizen warlocks also try and kidnap her for their own goals.
-I’ve already started writing this story and hope to show it to everyone in the near-ish future.
Twilight Visits Freeport
Slice of Life, mid-length story.
Invited by Archon Sunset Shimmer to Freeport for an official visit, Twilight goes to the seedy island nation to finish up the negotiations for a trade treaty. But her visit to Freeport comes with unexpected trouble when Sunset proposes an arranged courtship, Sunset meets her old nemesis Starlight, and Cloud and Twilight have to decide what their relationship is.
-A sequel to some of my more recent Twilight stories, I hope to get started on this one in the near future.
Twilight vs. The Haunted Mailbox 2
Comedy Adventure, mid-length story.
Previously thought to be nothing more than a minor nuisance and another Ponyville oddity, the spirit haunting the Sugarcube Corner’s mailbox launches a plot that threatens all of Equestria—or at least Hearth’s Warming Day if everypony’s mail isn’t delivered on time. Twilight goes on a adventure to discovered the spirit haunting the mailbox’s true identity, and find a way to save the holidays.
-I’ve been sitting on this general idea for years, and now might be a good time to get cracking and do it sometime later in the year once I’ve written a few other stories.
Midnight’s Shadow
Midnight’s Shadow: The Bog Witch
Dark Comedy Adventure, short story.
Midnight is doomed to a most horrifying fate, as promised she must go to Froggy Bottom Bog to fulfill a promise to Archmagus Mossy Banks to deal with a troublesome spirit that threatens his bog. There she must deal with the annoyances of a malevolent spirit haunting an old home, and a group of troublesome young adults looking to party, and worst of all, the luck and mud of the bog.
-This is a comedy idea that’s been in my head for a number of months yet, and I really want to get on top of it soon.
Midnight’s Shadow: The Morning Wars
Dark Adventure, long story.
War threatens to wash over Equestria. With negotiations with Gryphonian faltering, many believe it’s only a matter of time before the hammer falls. Determined to counter this threat, Morning Star enacts a plan to make sure that when war is declared Equestria will be ready for it, and Midnight Sparkle is a cornerstone of those plans. But Gryphonia’s High King has spent years planning for this war, and is determined to bring Equestria to ruin and put Gryphonia on the ascendant.
-This is a story I’m looking forward to, and I plan on getting a start on it this year after I finish some other stories.
Lunar Rebellion Shadow Kicker Story
Short story.
I’ve gotten a couple of requests for a Shadow Kicker story taking place sometime after the Lunar Rebellion. Since there is plenty of stuff to cover, like the establishment of a new order in Equestria, bandit problems, relations with other nations, Shadow having a kid, and several other issues that could potentially be covered, depending on what might be fun to go into detail over.
-This is a bit vague in planning at the moment, but I think there is potential for a good story here.
Freeport Venture
Freeport Venture: Post-Northern Venture Story.
Dark Adventure Mystery
Puzzle returns to Freeport to find that the organization he had so carefully organized has turned on itself, and his lieutenants are now at one another's’ throats. With none of them willing to negotiate, and each trying to take over his organization, Puzzle finds everything he has built up in Freeport under threat, and even his own life. Worse still, a conspiracy works against him, and seeks to end his life and his mission for a better Equestria once and for all.
-I plan on starting this story up sometime after City of Giants is done, though I’m not sure exactly when.
Freeport Venture: Short Story
Short Story
After finishing up City of Giants I’m also considering writing a short story involving Puzzle’s organization, how it works, in addition to some of Freeport’s internal politics. Perhaps I’ll make it a mystery with Puzzle taking on a job.
Prequel Puzzle Piece Adventure
Similar to City of Giants, I’ve considered writing another adventure involving Puzzle’s past. Options include writing about his origins, some of his adventures in the world like going to Westmarch, Northmarch, Equestria, and other locals.
Other
EQG Oncoming Story
Short Story
I’ve considered taking another crack at EQG. General idea I’ve had is to have Storm Kicker invite Twilight to her family’s regular hunting trip in their cabin during the winter. From there fun shenanigans and a magical mystery can happen.
When Better Days Are Past Sequel
I’ve gotten several requests for a sequel to this story, since people want to see what happens to Applejack after a pretty depressing ending to that story. I’ve been a bit reluctant to pick this one up again due to the Better Day’s being pretty depressing to write, and I have enough stuff in real life to do that. But I could pick this one up again if people really want me too.
Rarity Story
I love Rarity and yet I have never written a story with her as the main character. This needs to change. I’ll probably start working on a story with her once I finish up some other short stories I’ve been wanting to write before jumping on this.
Luna Story
It’s been too long since I’ve written anything with Luna in it, and I’d like to fix that this year. Just the question of what story to write. Chengar has suggested a sequel to Journey of the Lesser Lights, and I could follow the inspiration I got from the MLP comic books with the Nightmare Knights and Luna pulling together a team of ex-antagonists. Either that or I could go for another comedy like Anything But The Gala.

I am also interested in the Morning Wars story, of course.
Seeing twilight visit freeport seems like it could be extremely interesting not just because of her, sunset and Cloud Kicker but it might be nice to see Twilight's guards again and what they might get up do during such a foreign visit.
It just seems like it has been a while since we've seen her guards who were introduced in the Umbral Shard.
Beyond I have to admit all the premises of the comedy stories seem interesting and when it comes to a Luna story either a more general comedy is interesting though I'd note her putting together a team of ex-antagonists also seems like it would have a lot of potential for comedy as well.
Oh boy. As Midnight is one of my favorite OCs due to the great stories that have followed her, I've quite excited to hear that more are planned.
Twilight visiting Freeport and Midnight's adventure in the bog would be my top picks. The Morning Wars story is also tempting, but if it were me, I'd probably want to get the comedic short story out the door before moving onto the next big part of the overall saga. More Shadow Kicker and Puzzle Piece are always welcome as well.

I dont care if I'm the only one who is, but I'm damn excited to see more stories with Shadow Kicker. That's my fave right there. Midnight will be fun too. Puzzle's interesting and it sounds exciting to see him have to actually struggle when his web starts to break down in town. Not too enthusiastic about the Cloud shipping one though, can't lie. That whole plot still feels weird to me.
All these sound like a lot of fun! Definitely interested to see how Twilights quest for love progresses. I’m just gonna come out and say it: I really kinda like TwiCloud. They’re fun together. (I’m sure this will invite no controversy at all. Fans are always rational regarding differences in shipping preferences). Definitely excited for The Bog Witch. It seems young people wanting to party in obviously haunted locations is a trope that works regardless of setting. Overall I’m excited for what you have in store! Can’t wait to see these! (PS, Also really would love to see how ponies handled Shadow being pregnant. Mostly Gale. And also young Midnight, that would be awesome XD).

I've never really been a fan of the Freeport Ventures stories myself, but a lot of your other ideas sound like a great read especially the Midnight ones and Twilight revisiting the haunted Mailbox.
All the ideas sound good and I would be interested in reading them but if I had to pick. Twilight Visits Freeport or a Luna based one are the two that which would be tied my first choice with the Morning Wars as the next one. Thank you for writing such well written and interesting stories.

I eager to see the Twilight + Sunset love story continue and them being awkward around each other. I also suspect poor Twilight might experience a bit of a culture shock visiting Freeport.
Midnight's Shadow: The Bog Witch
Yes! Moar Midnight! She's such a fun character and I'm also a sucker for the whole medieval fantasy setting. A shorter more comedic story would be nice in between the longer and darker ones (i.e. Tainted Legacies and The Morning Wars).
Luna Story
I was hoping for more Luna + Star Kicker after Journey of the Lesser Lights. I also really enjoyed Anything But The Gala. Things seldom get boring around Luna.
Wow that list is fantastic. I can't wait to see any of these! Personally, I would be most interested to see what would jump in your head for that Rarity story. Next most fun I'd go the Puzzle route... always love seeing what you do with Freeport.
