I'm happy to say that Chapter 22 is complete. · 9:56am Jan 21st, 2019
Chapter 22 is done, it just needs to be edited.
This took so long because of the earthquake, a lot of things needed to be done with it to make sure that things were still fine around here. It starts out with "do you smell gas?" and "go check to see if the water heater sprung a gas leak" and "what about the foundation!" and thoughts like that. Of course before even that you're thinking about how the power is out, and people are calling your phone from places that aren't likely to get power anytime soon. For a while I couldn't even think about writing, I was thinking about the earthquake and the aftershocks, basically every week since the earthquake we have had around a 5.0 aftershock. We get aftershocks that big often enough now people have stopped calling to say "did you feel that one?" and let me tell you it was really traumatizing at first when we'd get an aftershock that big EVERYBODY was scared.
So yeah it isn't until now that I could even think about writing because I wanted to pick up this, do I have a heater if the power goes out? Do I have spare water to say flush the toilet? There is a boil water notice out, do I have enough drinking water? That's been the litany for more than a month, Christmas actually turned into swapping earthquake stories and my Aunt talked about when she was in the '64 earthquake.
Anyway back to the story itself, this will be the climax and I've decided the next chapter will be the epilogue. I can tell that some of you will be disappointed with that. The reason I'm setting the next chapter as the epilogue is because the story is going to split from here one is going to be a longerish off sequel a year or two ahead in the timeline that goes somewhere else(over up north into more temperate forests with Twilight) and the other is going to be about the aftermath of all this, how the Mane six deal with this, Celestia and Luna, Naudia and Twilight, and changelings in Equestria. and I think it may(this is still early planning because I plan to work on The Fermi Object since I've been neglecting that story) be from the point of view of Fluttershy.
Anyway that's all that's happening over here, I hope to have this latest chapter edited this week and out to you guys soon. Look forward to the final confrontation between Naudia and her mother and the plan that will cut Twilight off from Naudia for the entire fight.
