I never make mistakes. I thought I'd made one once, but I was wrong.

So it's been a while, huh? I kept sitting down and wanting to type up a blog post on what progress I was making, but then kept either having real life intervene or writer's block set in and refuse to get off my couch. But, as those who are following the story will have been notified, I posted Dogs of Winter's latest chapter. There's the epilogue still to go before I can mark the story as

    Signal Boost: BronyCon Bookstore

So, for the bulk of the information, go read this. I'm personally 100% on board for it, but as with really all my decisions, I look at all the horsefic that I've written during my time here on FimFic and start to waffle. I honestly love all of my stories, but as Aquaman outlined in his blog post,

    BronyCon 2018 Roundup

Well, this one's a bit later than I'd intended it to be, but here's my rambling thoughts about the second-to-last BronyCon

    I regret nothing

    Horsecon Ahoy!

Yes, it's true! I will once again be at BronyCon this year, with my awesome husband Noble Cause. Looking forward to a lot of shennanigans, will maybe do the daily blog thing but am not sure yet. Bringing my tablet to try and get some horsewords done as well.

If you're there, look for the dude in the Braeburn hat/vest, or with the oversize diamond dog lanyard doodad :rainbowlaugh:

    Surprise, I'm not actually dead!

There's times I feel like it, work has been absolutely chaotic

Not that kind of chaos, the un-fun kind

So it's been a while, huh? I kept sitting down and wanting to type up a blog post on what progress I was making, but then kept either having real life intervene or writer's block set in and refuse to get off my couch. But, as those who are following the story will have been notified, I posted Dogs of Winter's latest chapter. There's the epilogue still to go before I can mark the story as complete, but I think I can get that one knocked out before too much longer pending anything else going on.

In other news, I'm doing pretty good as far as real life and my career in the Army. I just had my latest PT test this past week and managed to pass by a somewhat skinny margin (it doesn't help that since I can't run anymore, the alternate events don't have scores, only pass/fail, so my card only tracks points based on the two events I can still do, but that's my own thing to really deal with. At least the pain for now is still manageable with ibuprofen), but the big takeaway is I still passed, so have six months to work on getting ready for the next one.

However, I didn't want this blog post to turn into a pity party, so changing tacks to a new topic, I now have my own Twitch channel and actually stream on it! I'm still attempting to sort out a schedule for it (which my RL schedule does also interfere with since there's been a couple days in the past weeks I've been leaving work an hour or more past the post-mandated end of day), but I generally stream on the weekends for a good 4-8 hours or more. You can find my channel at: https://www.twitch.tv/cloudhammer_gaming, as well as my Twitter at https://twitter.com/CloudhammerGame. Any support is more than welcomed, I'm close to finally hitting the critical 50 Twitch follower mark to be able to start working on earning money doing streaming, so if you feel like stopping by and hanging out I'd truly appreciate it. I've debated on a few occasions actually streaming my writing sessions to let you all have a peek behind my process, but I decided at least for now to finish the stories that you've all been so patiently waiting for first. Writing streams would probably need to wait until new year's weekend, since for Christmas me and the husband are going to be visiting his parents, but there might be a random weekday stream. If I do decide to go live I'll be sure to tweet it plus do a blog post here, so keep an eye/ear open

Moving on to the topic of stories, as I said, there's only the epilogue for Dogs of Winter to complete this story, then I do intend to tackle Arceus and the Displaced Village next. However, there are more than a few ideas jostling for attention in my head which will be written at some point, plus the next installments in the Cloudyverse. So continue being patient and awesome, and I'll do my best to continue being more active here to at least keep folks informed!

Finally, because I do feel compelled to at least say it again, I truly appreciate each and every one of you who've stuck around despite the dry spells that have lasted literal years. I check the follower count every so often and it continues to humble me to see that the number doesn't really seem to go down, regardless of how easy it is to click or ignore. You all are awesome people and I will always try to give you my best effort, you deserve nothing less.

You had me at "plus the next installments in the Cloudyverse." :pinkiehappy: Don't get me wrong, Dogs of Winter was a cool and exciting adventure in Equestria, but I can't wait to get back to the insanity that is the end of the world and the Bureaus. Especially since your universe is still I consider to be the model for a good Conversion Bureau fic. Not too sanctimonious, shady people on all sides, and the Bureaus are a solution everyone hates but continue to exist because there's no workable alternative.

Thank you for the kind words! Although, Dogs does have far-ranging repercussions for the world which will both be hinted at in the epilogue but also in some other stories stewing in the back of my head :rainbowlaugh:
