As often seems to be the case, I did the final few thousand words in a flurry as I finally broke through whatever writer’s block I was experiencing all at once. Tentatively titled Thunderstruck, it’s 8000 words of gleefully gay action plus aftermath as well as the promised peek back at things in Canterlot. No check-in with Starlight’s group this time as it would detract from the long-awaited and very climactic (pun intended!) Thunderlane sequence, but they’re definitely not forgotten!
No teaser this time, as I’d like it all to be a surprise--even the opening section, which sports a brand-new perspective; a pony who helps set the stage for the big scene. But trust me, it’s good. 
It’s with my prereaders now, and already gotten rave reviews even halfway through it. Since I have some momentum, I may try to get another chapter ready in time for Xmas, but I can’t promise it’ll be done by then. What I can promise is that we’re going to finish off both Spike and Rarity next; the latter in particular deserves some love considering the major role she has yet to play. How so?
Let’s just say that she will break the curse’s pattern in a very important and, for Eclipse, a very unexpected and unwelcome way.
