First 10 chapters are back up for Fall of the Rising · 8:18pm Dec 4th, 2018
After weeks of hard work, planning, trimming, making new additions and editing... I have a tentative first 10 chapters back up for Fall of the Rising. The pace for the first part of the story is faster and I have some new content in there. It's still the same story, just with my new ideas incorporated to add depth. I've removed some scenes that I really could not justify being in there and cut down some parts that got too long. I think it flows a lot better, but I'm yet to have anyone let me know if what I've done works...
While I've been sad to cut some of the cute stuff out, I'll have to post those scenes up as their own short story that I can build on separately with even more fluff as I still think they have merit and many of the outtakes are fun reads. I simply had to remove some things as it takes too long to get to the action and I have a lot planned for later. This story is still gonna be huge.
No chapter update is yet to appear in everypony's notification saying there is new stuff as technically I'm rereleasing old chapters. (Even though chapter 6 is entirely new..)
Once I have finished chapter 11 (which is also all new) and finished my edits for the griffin attack on Dash and her stay in hospital, I'll be able to move on with the story and actually continue it.
So... I would greatly appreciate it if you could give the updated Fall of the Rising a go and let me know what you think (especially if you can remember the old one). I am trying to get all the older parts of the story revised and re-released within the next week or two so that I can release the chapter where Dash wakes up by Christmas.
Was planning on rereading this soon. Can definitely spend a day or two reading this. Though it might be hard for me to place where the excised stuff was since it has been a year at least since I read this.
