An Apology and Explanation (Plus Audio Drama News) · 10:27pm Nov 18th, 2018
I'd like to apologize to those who have been patiently waiting for the next chapter of Nighty Night Scootaloo. Don't worry, I haven't abandoned the project. It's just that I have a lot of projects in the works. First of all, I'm not good when it comes to filler content, so parts of the story that aren't part of the general bullet points of the story tend to send me into a type of writer's block.
Secondly, I have been given permission from two different authors to convert their stories into YouTube audio dramas and have been working on the scripts for one of them. I can't tell you when exactly I'll be making a casting call though, since I'm still working on the audition lines for just one of them.
The two stories I'm planning on converting are nearly polar opposites when it comes to the emotional impact. The story that I'm currently working on making the script for is Undead Robot Bug Crusaders by Banjo64. It's a lighthearted story about the CMC revealing that they are not normal ponies to each other (Apple Bloom being a ghoul, Scootaloo being a changeling, and Sweetie Belle being a robot), and learning to live with normal ponies and accept who (and what) they are.
The second story I'm planning on converting is Sweetie Bot - A Heart's Warming Tale by Grimweird. It's a grimdark story about Sweetie Belle learning she's a robot, and going through a traumatizing existential crisis as she runs away from home (though it's questionable to whether the trama is to Sweetie Belle or to the readers). As she runs (during a severe pre-winter rainstorm), she meets some ponies who help her learn what exactly she is (though not all of them have good intentions with her). Though it does have a happy ending, it's a story that you shouldn't witness if you don't want to get your heart broken. But if you thrive on that kind of emotion (like me), then you'll love this story. (And before you get the wrong I idea, I thrive on that kind of story because I thrive on the desire to protect and comfort others, not because I'm sadistic or anything like that.)
Third and finally, I play games, that take up some of my time. Specifically, I play Dungeons & Dragons, and I've been focused on Spyro Reignited Trilogy lately. I also watch a lot of YouTube videos.
So to make a long story short (too late), if you're willing to be patient and wait, I promise I will get back to Nighty Night Scootaloo.
And as a final note, not only do I recommend those stories, but I'd also like to recommend HMXTaylorLee, my prereader. I'm not making this shoutout because I feel obligated to. I'm doing so because I recommend reading Scootaloo & The Cabinet of Seers... (and to encourage you to bug him enough so that he's encouraged to continue the story). In all fairness though, don't actually bug him. Just consider the story and perhaps encourage him. Because even he knows he has to get back to it as some point. But don't take my word for it. Read it and decide for yourself if you want him to continue. Then start bugging him (wink wink).
