I'm pretty much at a point where I'm writing enough to release something each week or two (most of it pony, but some of it is non-pony fan fiction that only gets released onto my fanfiction account). This is something I've not been in a position to do in a long, long time...
I consider the story Darn These New Wings! to be a huge success, while I Swear To Drunk I'm Not Celestia! has been much quieter in its reception than I thought it would be. I've had more one-shots in between those two than I used to have in total, so all up I'm personally happy to be writing and publishing stories here again. Although I'm watching Season 8 now, I'm pretty sure most of my stories are still going to be set in the older seasons.
I have two one shots lined up for release over the next two weeks and another chapter for Our Daughter in the works. After that, I had planned on a few more cute one shots as well as a hopeful update to Crashing Angels.
However...
In light of a comment by PerplexedPegasus on my story Fall of The Rising, I'm strongly considering altering course a bit. When they asked about my notes, I took one look at what I for the story and wondered... should I simply post these in their raw, basic and not all that descriptive form or should I put a lot of effort into continuing the epic tale properly? I have a lot that I want to happen, cute stuff, adventuring and plenty of battles etc. Why am I coming back to this after saying its cancelled?
Because I want to finish it.
I've always wanted to finish it. It's been an itch that I cant scratch, despite dreaming of where the story might go sometimes daily. But through the last 4 years where I've not been writing much and it simply didn't seem possible for me to produce as much as another 200k words that the story might need. I had for a time also moved away from MLP and that seemed to be a que to simply put the story down and leave it.
Now, a lot has changed for me over the last 4 years of no releases for Fall of the Rising. One example is the TwiPie shipping in FOTR. While I also was a fan of TwiLuna back when this was actively being worked on, Twilight and Luna are my top pony ship now. So in future chapters, there will be more Tuna to go with the Flutterdash (once RD actually wakes up..) Poor Pinkie. I already knew what I was going to do with her, it was just the how...
Because I never stopped dreaming of this story, I have plenty of ideas that have continued to evolve with time. I still carry in my head things like the final battle, the fighting over Canterlot and who dies or who scrapes by. Because by the end of the story I know, nothing in Equestria will be quite the same.
Since it has been so long, I have no idea who is still interested. So this post is both to gauge interest as well as to announce that I have something in the works for this story once more and I'm almost set to release it.
If you are interested in seeing the story continued, look for a new chapter within the week. I've made minor tweaks to Chapter 1 and I'm going to move onto revising the others (where needed) as soon as I get the current video editing job I have finished.

I was surprised that it drew in less interest than your other flutterdash one shots. The drunk fic was pretty funny and amusing to read--and a bit random. It's too bad that you didn't get much feedback cept the one person who had quite a bit to say. The wingboner story was the most amusing one-shot to help you with and I think the funniest one-shot that you have out there. That said, I think there can be room for some more hilarious and random one shots in the future.
You bringing up FoR is a blast from the past. Last time you talked about it, it sounded like you were either interested in rewriting or starting a new grand story.

well ive just finished making changes to chapter 2.
What I had written for the re-write could work as later chapters (with tweaks) to where FotR is up to.

And wow, I remember Fall of the Rising SO well! What a crazy adventure that had been! Gosh dude, if you're able to continue that and finish it, that would be so cool. I completely understand wanting to finish it, I end up having similar feelings to my works! It's such a struggle!!

Sweet Celestia's mare heat! You're actually still around??
First off... I am continuing it. I have written completely new scenes (in fact, thats what chapter 6 is) but I had to reread a large part of the story to fully immerse myself in it again.
After a crazy number of hours last week, putting my new ideas into the plan for the story (as I've had a few over the last 6 years...) I've managed to edit the first 5 chapters (rewriting a few parts that aged poorly...) and now chapter 6 is up and its a completely new one (just no one gets notifications as its replacing the old chapter). Once I finish one more scene I'll be able to repost up several other chapters and get us up to ch10 with their new parts integrated.
I'm trying to balance the story with a couple more plotlines early on to move it along faster as there's a lot of action (flutterdash and otherwise) that I want to get to. The core flutterdash is there, but I've removed several scenes that I felt were slowing it down or were not strictly necessary. Most of the scenes I've had to cut were really sweet and nice, but I don't want it to get too slow. So I'm thinking I may post the best of what I take out as an extra on the side as its still excellent cute Flutterdash from us two.
If you have the time, I would really like to know what you think of the new directions I'm taking the story in.
I'm mostly just putting out one shots while I work on this epic novel of a fan fiction.
Also, have you had a chance to check out any of my other new stories?

Yeah, I am! I pop around from time to time to read stuff but haven't been active. XP Maybe someday I will be again! Who knows what the future holds!
I think it'll be cool to see what direction you'll be taking it all in, which is neat! Time has passed and it's good to go back and fix things. Especially if there were stuff that didn't age well (I know that feeling TOO WELL!) or slowed things down, oh yeah, I understand that! And yes!! I love those sweet awesome FlutterDash moments we made! I can understand why they were cut, I'll be the first to admit that sometimes things can slow down. XP But I'm glad you're posting them on the side as an extra thing, yay! I still love those moments so much. Awesome!
