After this chapter I'm writing something a little different · 8:09am Nov 4th, 2018
Chapter is going well- nearly 6000 words in and a planned 4 day focus on the story coming up so that number and all that will get higher.
No the planned scenes with Moondancer x Twilight x Pinkie did not happen the way I planned it but it looks like I'm tackling Amending Fences now and flights of important but not always necessary smut was not entirely needed- though the story swerved really close on this point but world building and Twilight and Moondancer importance and Twilight continuing being rather a mess and being not fantastic with her emotions and stuff slightly continues.
Let's say this part got far more in depth than I expected cause I knew they'd at least bring up plot stuff- I planned for it. But being only 2 scenes in with nearly 6k words? Not a normal part of a chapter there.
So no, I haven't touched on Rarity and Applejack or Dash or Fluttershy's aftermath and new important stuff they need to talk about. Weirdly enough with how this chapter is going I probably will touch on them but it feels like the Ponyville chapters will be where they really have their talks in full. Twilight and Moondancer and how they feel about each other? That seems to be super relevant now. But I plan on taking a short break sort of like I did between the first arc and the entire thing that turned into the Starlight arc.
Seems like I need to do that between each arc to both figure out plot details and stuff for the next bit that will pop up and aren't a carryover from the previous arc and also for reference I've been writing this arc since about late January of this year (note that the chapter that technically started the whole Canterlot/ Starlight Arc says February 9th but due to how I write or think of story details constantly and how I've written the story around that point, the chapter probably started around my birthday in the slight middle of January. Starting a new arc is hard.
I probably need a short break from the story to have like a super recharge (and technically reread parts of the first chapter up to the Canterlot stuff cause I did a lot of plot threads and character building stuff and need to be immersed back there.
And I keep having this festering idea of writing a TwiLuna one shot probably based around Hearthswarming. No promises on if that will be the case but it will be that. Boo good TwiLuna stories and rereading my now woefully out of date personal shipping list for Luna and realizing that if I wasn't so deadset about Pinkie and Twilight playing off each other well that Luna and Twilight do too. So that sounds like a plan once I get this chapter done.
Probably around a third to a half done in this chapter cause I can't see much talking happening between the others until we get back to semi normal life in the context of the story. Doesn't mean that characters won't have the bane of my storytelling existence.
My absolute proclivity to have long internal monologues to get in the character's head. And it seems like Applejack and Rarity will have a big portion of the main plot coming back in this story.
