The Thicc of It
OwO wots dis? A second story within a month?
I must be pampering you.
I kid, I kid; this is what happens when I actually know what the hell I'm doing: I get things done.
Let me start off by saying that, I have standards. I can write complex stuff with intrigue and mystery, but I can also unwind and have a good time. And I have to say, this one was pretty fun to write. It was an exercise, in a sense, to help me stretch my wings. That being said, I don't plan on all my stories being HiE, because that's pretty... uninspired, I guess?
Bleh.
Anyway, Damage Control is about Fleetfoot's return from a disastrous Wonderbolt reunion, and tells the story of how she's eventually pacified, through cuddles and kisses and all that sweet, hugable pony goodness. It's inspired by Sunset by P-Berry, which warmed the ever-loving fuck out of my heart. I know I said it would only be about 5k words, but I swear, it's like the story wrote itself, and I was just along for the ride. The hardest part, though, was figuring out how to not overuse "gentle", "soft", "quiet", "tender", and all those warm, fuzzy words.
(Back To) The Future
I wrote this during the mid-semester break week, so be ready for a little hiatus while I focus on yet more university stuff. As far as I'm aware, I only have four more weeks of uni for the year before I can finally devote all my time to writing (providing Mum doesn't pester me to get out of the house or something).
The next chapter of TWTUD is on the horizon, where Adam finally meets the first of many great obstacles in Flurry Heart's Equestria. And after that, another comedy one-shot involving demonic practices and a pizza order.
Auf wiedersehen,
Freglz
