The Indentation Bureau · 5:01pm Sep 8th, 2018
So, if you read the latest chapter of A Magic Turn of Events, you may notice that there's been some wonky paragraphs just like the previous one. If you've been paying super close attention, you may also notice that I didn't fix the indentation of the previous chapter within twelve hours though it's fixed now.
I guess you need a reason why it's like that. I've switched from writing on LibreOffice to writing on Google Docs. However, when I'm done with a chapter on Docs, I download it as an .odt file to spellcheck. Apparently, the file conversion isn't perfect since some indentations don't carry over, and since I don't have the keenest of editorial eyes, they slip.
I apologize for that. It's my fault and I should've made those editorial eyes keener.
Anyway, speaking of conversions and bureaus:
A Conversion Bureau: Not Just Ponies Short
I'm going to write a short story in Alex Warlorn's take on the Conversion Bureau. No details on the premise just yet; I got the bare basics, but I still need the details.
As for context: After doing collaborative worldbuilding on the Earth-meets-Equestria fic I've been itching to do, it's been pointed out that my original vision for Earth-Equestria relations could be seen as something close to a Conversion Bureau setting. I agreed to stray away from that, seeing the point. However, there's a little part of me that still wanted to do that kind of story, so I said, "Let's do it anyway," and landed on a TCB short story.
Also, I need more experience with writing actual humans. I don't feel that good when it comes to making human characters; maybe it's some irrational fear since I've been writing Equestrians (and Equstria Girls humans) for such a long time. However, with this Conversion Bureau fic, I'm forcing myself to take the jump and, well, do it.
If you're concerned about the Earth-meets-Equestria short story and longfic, don't worry! This TCB fic will give me some bearings on writing humans.
Oh, and expect the TCB fic to come out very late September/early-to-mid October.
Sorry to bother you. Hope you have a good day ahead!
