My story, and why writing MLP leaves me now.... conflicted

I think my last post was brief, so I might as well go into some detail here about my story, why I started writing mlp fanfic, and what is happening now.

    G5: OH THE IRONY...

You know, it's really really funny... G5 has all the three tribes of ponies hating each other, and living in a modern setting centuries after FiM. I wrote about this very ideas years ago, before G5 was ever conceived of, in a story where Celestia and Luna go on a vacation incognito to the earth pony town of Coltonville, and find pony hatred and paranoia, as well as a conspiracy against unicorn

    Returning for real this time

Okay, everybody, Paradise/Tornado here again! Yes I know it's been a year, but I needed time to recover from a ten-year burnout in writing, and it took awhile to get my creative juices flowing again. I'm putting together plans for a new story or two, though my plans for my 'big finish' story are on hold again. I hope many of you are still here, and look forward to entertaining all of you with my

A letter from the EEA · 9:16pm Aug 17th, 2018

Ugh, I really hate those creeps.

Hey, dear readers, Tornado Firehooves here again. as any of you who work in the field of education knows, all schools, training facilities, colleges and universities in Equestria are approved by the Equestria Education Association, also known as the EEA. Under the current leadership of Chancellor Saddlesore, these arrogant jerks- I mean, brilliant educators- have approval right over every class, teacher, and educational program that is run in Equestria. Cheerilee has told me horror stories of what it's like teach under their iron hooves during the days she lived in Equestria. And they have refused to allow ANY of the academic papers I have ever written to ever be used in any course or curriculum, stating my work is- what did they say again?- oh yeah "Subversive anti-friendship propaganda, that promotes feudal ideas and values, and condemns equine equality and pony inclusiveness."

Yeah, kiss my flank, Chancellor.

Anyway, we usually don't have to deal with those crazies here in the Ponyland Confederacy. The EEA has no jurisdiction here, the Ponyland academic council (of which I am a member, along with Lady Moondancer) is an extremely conservative body, valuing a traditional moral education over equestrian drek. The one time we actually brought in one of the EEA's teachers, Sun Shimmer, to educate the ponies of Dream Valley's fillies and colts... well, for those of you who have read my tale Moondancer's misguided mission, you all know how that turned out.

Anyway, the EEA has sent the kingdom of Dream Valley a letter, asking Applejack and Spike to come and speak on the Equestrian Friendship Academy's millennial anniversary celebration, seeing as how they are the only two of the original founding teachers from the school still living. They also want each of them to teach a course at the academy in the coming semester, on a subject of their own choosing. Spike is against it, telling us he refuses to endorse what the EEA has turned the friendship academy into since Princess twilight Sparkle died. And A.J. says her Equestrian is really bad, as she has used the langue very little over the past 500 years. Queen Majesty greatly opposes the EEA and it's anti-feudalism ideologies, but has left the decision up to Moondancer, Paradise, and I.

So, what should we do, dear readers? should we send Applejack and Spike to Equestria to speak and teach? I don't think it's a good idea, but I just really don't know...

There are two options, either you don't justify those jerks with a response, or they go and talk about what the school used to be like, what was undermined by the EEA and twisted to suit it's own agenda.

Of course that might result in the need for a quick exit.

It's a tough call, but I'd sent a strongly worded refusal, if they have twisted the legacy of the Friendship Academy, then don't given them anything.
