Story Notes: Twilight Gets Pantsed; Trotcon Update · 2:20pm Jul 20th, 2018

Here it is, kids, an update to one of my less-popular anthologies. :rainbowlaugh: Also, an update to my Trotcon schedule is at the bottom.

This story's been kicking around for a while and I never could decide if I should publish it on its own, or toss it into Not Another Equestria Girl Fic. What finally tipped the scales in favor of the anthology is that I couldn't find any appropriate cover art, despite hours spent searching.

I tried to make some with MSPaint, which probably would have worked if I had any talent at drawing at all.

So to any artist out there, there are no images of Equestria Girls Twilight getting pantsed in front of a horrified Rarity.

There really isn't much else to say about this one, research-wise. Dress Barn is actually a clothing shop. I've never been in one, so I have no idea whatsoever what they have to offer; I am reasonably confident that they're not a high-end fashion house.

I don't know if Donut Joe has actually showed up in the EqG verse or not, but I've put him there before, and IMHO that totally counts.

I told y'all before that I didn't know when my Trotcon panels were. Well, now I do! The Speedfics panel and the Writers Waffling panel are back-to-back, starting at 4pm on Saturday.

Dana is amazing. Been a follower for years. Unicorn!

Also, I have a pool noodle fencing pass I won't be using. If you want it, just ask. If I still have it, it's yours.

Twilight's shirt is very correct. F:yay: pants!

Still wish i could have gone, but work had other ideas.

Unicorn! and Phoebe those are clearly pants.

Man, I should really re-read that comic.

Read it pretty religiously before the hiatus, but never been a fan of re-runs.

I've been postponing reading that comic for years, and finally started a few months ago. I love it! :pinkiehappy:

Yes. Just plain ones, not like those fancy lace and elastic E-strings that—“

There is an old British TV show called The Goodies. The best way to describe it is to imaging a Monty Python sketch stretched out to a full half hour. Anyway, in an episode that was about the end of the world, one character revealed they had a phobia about their bellybutton. On tearing open their shirt, it is revealed that they cover it with another piece of cloth. He refers to it as an A-string. “It’s like a G-String, but a little higher up.” (Referring to the stringing of a guitar.)

I went looking for a clip on YouTube, but it looks like the BBC has issued a bunch of copyright infringement notices on anything related to the show. I did find this clip, which might give you some insight into the show:

Speaking of speedfics, I finished your Unhinged entry after I finally sat down for a couple of hours. (You may have noticed in your feed – I dunno – but it doesn't say it's the Admiral-Biscuit-edition entry there.) I don't know what qualifies as a speedfic, exactly, but the week of preparation might disqualify it from that title.

Someday, I hope to be okay at art. Preliminary experiments have gone better than poorly, but results have still been limited.

One of my friends from college is friends with her on Facebook--it was really funny when I found that out.

Yeah, she’s not wrong.

Dumb work. :derpytongue2: Maybe next year?

I suppose you could count them as pants, since they’re being worn as such, but the neck-hole in it certainly implies shirt . . . or else a pants designer that likes to let it all hang out. . . .

I’m way, way behind on it. It’d be easiest if I just got all the books and read it that way, and I have no idea why I haven’t done that yet.

It’s much like Calvin and Hobbes, except that Marigold is real. At least, that’s how I see it.

Sometimes I don’t understand British humor at all. :derpytongue2: Then again, they probably say the same thing about American humor. It kind of reminded me of The Three Stooges. (I also don’t understand the purpose of medicine balls.)

Allegedly, at least one person has died from laughing while watching The Goodies (just found that out looking up other videos). Apparently, it was the sketch with the piper fighting a man with a tube of black pudding.

I did see it!

For me, it’s usually fics started and finished in a couple of hours, but then I write a lot. I think if it’s fast compared to your normal writing speed, it counts.

I also generally don’t count research preparation into that total, just the actual writing time. But I don’t think that there’s a general rule for that.

Someday, I hope to be okay at art. Preliminary experiments have gone better than poorly, but results have still been limited.

I’ve got to figure that like writing, a lot of practice is the key. I’d like to be good at it, but haven’t really got the time to practice.
