Sometimes, I make the mistake of looking at my stories here and their comment sections, and I get that old itch to make pony stuff again. I had a lot of fun doing it, after all, and I do love to entertain. I still have a lot of trouble getting any creative work done, of course. I haven't even had any real interest in it for quite a while, now. But even beyond that... well...
If I did manage to start publishing again, would anybody read it? I still haven't kept up with the show, so anything I wrote would be about things that are old news, or concepts that aren't even that much connected to canon events. My work was rarely super popular anyway, and I don't need to crank out constant hits or meet arbitrary popularity quotas to not deem my work an utter failure, but it's still disheartening to publish a work and see barely anyone even read it. And if I write to entertain (giving back to the community was why I started this, after all), doubly so.
So even in the times when the old tinder of ponyfiction starts to catch an ember, I find myself wondering if I should even bother. What do you think? If I wrote, would you read? If I build it, will you come?
P.S.: This isn't fishing for validation, pity, or anything of the sort; I don't do that. I genuinely want to know what you all think, even if it might be something I won't like hearing. And don't take this to mean I'd definitely make a comeback if you said "yes", because I can't make anything even resembling promises. This is just sort of a little probing expedition, so to speak.
Hey, don't worry about being out of touch, I've been out of it myself. I don't even know who Adagio Dusk is, is she the one with the hair?

Adagio Dusk? Aren't you mixing two characters?
As long as at least one person finds joy from reading a story of mine, I’m personally satisfied. You’ll have to decide what your own criteria is, but that’s my philosophy.

That's actually the same line of reasoning that causes me to never take any of my stories/pictures down, even if I think they're bad. Somebody enjoyed them, and so someone else might in the future, so I'll keep them up for those people. If that's good enough to keep stories up, maybe it's good enough to post them? Of course, I'd have to write them first, so there's that.
You know I'll read it! you do good work
I'd read it. Your fics were always a joy to read; much more creative and original than what we get these days.
Come now! Your bootsy slickmane! Sure your better know as the cover artist of the shadowbolt adventures (whenever they’ll return :( ) but I’ve still got much of your own content saved for possible fanfic reviews and readings one day
