Bureacracy and Insurance Companies Suck · 8:29pm Jun 25th, 2018
Bad news again, this week. Well, bad, sort of good.
The other insurance company denied the claim. My lawyer is speaking with theirs, to try and get a settlement just one more time, but it's looking like it will head to lawsuit country, or making a claim against my insurance.
The good news there is my insurance company gave me a call over the weekend to talk about my options.
Good news, they won't raise my premiums, as I was assigned 0% fault. Bad news, I have to pay the deductible for both the doctor and the mechanic.
I haven't been able to work due to my arm, which (good news again) I can start up again this weekend, if my arm doesn't spaz out and snap the rotator cuff, an unlikely event given my rate of healing.
Unfortunately, this means I can't get my car fixed until I can afford the deductible. The money I've raised so far, thanks to you wonderful people, has gone to my bills, my food, and my doctor. I've raised the limit to try and get through this month, as I know I won't be able to work for an unspecified amount of time once my car is in the shop.
My insurance company says I'll get reimbursed after they take the other guy's insurance to small claims court, but that could take months or years.
The speed of bureacracy sucks.
