As of 5/8/2018, Pinklestia is no-longer serving as a co-writer for Driven Batty. We did not have a falling out, as such, but anytime either of us tried to get together to work on this story, one or the other of us would present ideas or directions for Beatrice Abigail Normal (A.K.A. Batty) that the other didn't want to use or follow.
It probably wasn't the best idea for our first collaborative effort be done with a self-insert story, so my apologies to Pinklestia, as Driven Batty was the story I was working on at the time when Pinklestia first proposed that we try to co-write something together.
Pinklestia and I may end up working on another collaborative story at some point in the future, but Driven Batty is not going to be that story. From here on out, the bat flies solo...
Does that mean we have to wait longer for another chapter? 'Cause I be scrollin', an' waitin'...

Thank goodness! This goofball has been bugging me about Driven Batty and Magical Mystery Oops! How does Spike live with a bibliophile?!
It was nothing personal. It is indeed that we both had very different ideas of to were take Batty. For example I didn't want Batty to be successfuly adopted because she is nuts. I also thought her not having parents would give her more time for shenanigans.
We also have different writing styles, I like to "cut down the fat" of stories, Tangent just likes to keep adding things and characters.
Is a shame because I was really interested in Batty.
The idea of someone (or somepony) that messed up so back Pinkie Pie left Ponyville, then tried so hard to become the Element of Laughter that she broke herseft and became nuts was interesting.
Sadly the only way I could write something like that myseft, without plagiarising Batty, seems to be writing a SI/OC reborn as Pinkie Pie. But there are a few PInkie SIs out there that I think have done the job better that I ever could.
I like Pinkie Pie but I hate how she never seems to know when to stop. My take on Batty would have been a crazy batpony with her own quirks and odd habits, different than Pinkie Pie, but who knows when to stop or at least listen when she is told or shown she is going too far.
Basically it would be a bit like me and Breakdown write Surprise in Unlucky Seven only crazier.
That said, I might write a crazy Earth pony in a short story or something because all those things I wanted to have Batty go have to go somewhere.
