Ugh, so I have just recently published the 13th chapter to my book and I wanted to start work on something else then. The brain strikes back.
What happens goes like this: I start writing or mostly stare at the screen, read a few lines then click onto something else, open/close several different stories, try to start but my hands hesitate to touch the keyboard or barely get a few words onto the page.
close the window. Open youtube, surf through several videos with no real interest. clicked close.
open Fim fiction, look through my stockpile of stories I've been meaning to read, don't feel the patience to sit and read. check my current stories, get the urge to work on them more.
open/close each new chapter then close them again after not finding the inspiration to put words down.
see my dilemma?
This is one of the reasons why I don't get stories up to date as often as I want to.
so, I spend several days trying to pick the time to do it, however, when i get home from closing shift, I tend to either youtube the night away or play my newest addition to my PS4 collection, Farcry 5.
I know I shouldn't stress it so much but If I'm going to eventually make this into something I make a side income from, then I'll need to work on scheduling and get into writing more often.
one of the other problems is majority of the time when writing, I tend to do research on the fly to get details accurate as possible which can get distracting if i'm not careful. which kills creativity in a heart beat.
Other times, as of late, I can't really just sit down and get to work for during the day, I'm either sleeping in from my twisted up sleep patterns, my son is youtubing on my Chromebook (aka the camera) or my mind is just too busy with everything else. sounds a lot like a stress filled life at the moment I think, but I've been working on controlling it and most of the time I get a good roll going practically minutes before I have to take off for something like work or a trip into town.
I just hope I can get more organized...
yeeesh, sounds rough o.O
