    Writers block

    Hey all.
As most of you have most likely surmised, I haven't been writing much. I just haven't felt like it, which probably means that I have a writers block or whatever you want to call it. I've been trying to get myself back into writing, since I have so many ideas bouncing inside my head, but to not much success unfortunately. :ajsleepy:

Look, a video I randomly found

This totally doesn't have something to do with the next chapter, that I totally did not start writing today.

    Totally.

Scruffy's house · 9:56pm Mar 24th, 2018

So, while we are waiting for the part 3 of the last chapter to come out (as soon as we get the last few bits and bobs done, so 0-3 days I'd say), here's something for you. A rough blueprint of Scruffy's home, so that you all can laugh at my poor architectural skills. :derpytongue2: Also to lessen any ambiguity as to where's what in the house.

That's not the way to illustrate doors, and his house doesn't have any closets.

How about something like this?

No wall between the kitchan and living room?

His house also doesn't have any furniture :rainbowlaugh: I only drew the rooms, everything else is up to your imagination. :rainbowkiss:

He has a sauna? I am kinda of jealous.

If I remember correctly that's pretty normal in a lot of places (especially northern Europe.)

There's quite a lot of saunas in Finland, lets just say. :derpytongue2:

Let me start by saying I enjoy this story, and I want the writer to continue.
Here's a list of everything I caught. (It's long, sorry)

1. The bathroom/sauna need to get switched (with the doors conflicting when they open),
2. Either the living room is massive or all the other rooms are small,
3. The Office/Work room needs a door of some type (assuming you aren't using a sliding door),
4. Bedrooms are a bit large (not really an issue) or the bathrooms are a bit small (much more of an issue),
5. Literally zero windows,
6. Wrong illustrations of a door (already addressed by some one else) [correct illustration is a line at a 30 or 45 degree angle],
7. No closets (already addressed by someone),
8. The landing at the top of the stairs is way too large for nothing to be there (or everything else is small),
9. Two of the bedroom doors might collide,
10. And no scale to determine size.
HOWEVER. The drawing lets the person viewing it imagine how each room is going to be laid out, And the drawing isn't bad for someone who doesn't quite know what they are doing.
(And you know I'm trustworthy because I took a class on civil/architectural engineering.)

Now I'm just waiting for someone who really knows their architectual engineering to come around and show me why I'm wrong.

Hmm, my 5 minute paint drawing doesn't seem to be holding much water. :derpytongue2: I'll make sure to spend only 1 minute next time!!! :rainbowlaugh:

well i see someone has already nailed a lot of the points i was going to make as a irl engineer (industrial design & mechanical not civil design)
the only issue i have with you analisis is the bit about the bathroom while yes normally you stack bathrooms for piping and other water issues i want to point out that, that whole side of the house seems dedicated to water usage so i would give it a pass. i am more wondering about this wierd landing area the stairs lead to which atleast in my neck of the world you dont see out side of the stupidly large houses of which this is not.
apart from that it seems to be missing a space for general storage,

The area at the top of the stairs is a sitting room type of deal. There's armchairs and bookshelves there.

I guess I'm stupid... but where the heck is the drawing? I can't find a link in the text of your message, and nothing is showing up as a picture in it, either. I can see the links in the replies to your post, but noting in yours.

4825165
Are you trying to view it on your phone? There is no link or anything, it should show just under the text.

4825166
No, actually, on my home desktop computer -- and the only thing that appears below your post is an ad for 100mbps internet!

:pinkiegasp:
wat
Well the image itself is in photobucket, so maybe that's screwing up or something? :derpyderp2:

I'm stumped.

Aha! I just switched to a different browser and they appeared! Apparently, my default browser, Seamonkey, doesn't like photobucket!

Sweet he has a sauna in his house, Scruffy is a true Finn indeed. :pinkiehappy:
