Edit 30.6.2018 Nevermind. it seems fine now
sadly, my time downloading videos has been compromised once again.
until sometimes late last year, i would download most youtube videos using a website called http://filozavr.com. other videos would be downloaded from https://www.youtube2mp3.cc.
when filozavr stopped working for me, someone showed me in the comments of a blog where i spoke of this to another website called https://keepvid.com where, for over a year now, i downloaded most youtube videos from.
however, keepvid is now no longer working for me, for reasons i do not understand, just like filozaver before it, which leaves me only with https://www.youtube2mp3.cc. to download from.
however, this is not as fine as it sounds in the long run. videos downloaded from that website are always downloaded in their highest quality, whether you want it to be highest or not, so you can't save space on your drives by downaloding a smaller version of the video, just with slightly less quality. also, it takes far longer to download something from that website than it ever did from the other two i've mentioned (a video that takes seconds to download on keepvid can take several minutes on youtube2mp3) and has a higher rate of a download failing. on top of that, the website, unlike filozavr and keepvid, limits what kind of videos you can download from YouTube.
If the video you want is over 2 hours long, even by a milisecond, it will not download the video for you. like, at all.
so, is there any websites anyone can suggest to me that will allow me to download videos from youtube for free that doesn't require you NEED to log in or something like that to use it?
If you know of one, please leave it in the comments bellow, with season 8 starting this week, it really was bad timing for keepvid to stop working for me, so any help is greatly appreciated.
thanks for listening and have a good day, everypony
I know two. They both have options when it comes to resolution and the only real trouble I've had is that certain videos are... I guess "blocked" from being downloaded. Meh, probably a copyright thing. Anyways, here they are:
https://www.onlinevideoconverter.com/
https://www.clipconverter.cc/
Listentoyoutube.org is a site that I use.
google "YTD video downloader"

https://www.ytddownloader.com/
this is the one ive been using for years
As drixarch said, do YTD Youtube Downloader. It's what I've been using for years.
The one I've been using for years is Freemake Video Converter, I've never had a problem with it. I even registered it.

All you have to do is cut and paste the youtube irl into the bar on it and boom, downloaded, you can even turn the audio stories into mp3.

thank you all for the suggestions, but i'm going to have to go with stephen51991's second given option as it's the only one that's seems to fit for me. it has a few problems compared to KeepVid and Filozavr back when they'd work for me, but mostly works for me. It does oddly make some videos bigger than the version i got from the website i've had to rely on alone til now that i mentioned in the blog, by which i mean even the smallest MP4 version (the only one i'm looking for, honestly) are bigger than what i get from the other website i use. and the fact it keeps opening a new tab for something i likely don't want when i click download is a little annoying, but i'll deal. no different than the website i get the audio for Wuten's readings, anyway.
either way, i'm thankful to you all for the options you presented to me. thank you

Cool.

Yeah, I honestly forgot about the popups since I have a rather effective blocker, but other than that I've never had any real problems with either of them.
P.S.- I'm looking forward to the next chapters of Twilight's Twinlight and Call of a Raven.
4k Video Downloader is the best, It's actually a program you run on your computer and it works wonders. Don't use anything else besides it.
There's one that I've used for 2 years now, and its soooooo simple. You simply go to the video you want on youtube, and then click the address bar, where you put MAGIC in between YOU and TUBE in YOUTUBE, not changing anything else, and press ENTER. you'll go to a place called save video, where you can get it in multiple types as mp3, mp4, hd, ect. The highlighting is for others who for the love of hell, can't read instructions if their life depended on it.
I use flvto.biz
Keepvid changes from time to time, but still works for me. PM me if you're still having trouble. But make sure you're using KEEPVID

huh. You're right. it did work again. thanks for the head's up

Yeah, it crashes or changes all the time, but I don't think it'll ever go away.
Open whatever video you are trying to download. Go up to the address bar. (lets say the video url is youtube.com/v/whateveritsfake=8483828) Click right before the 'y', add in 'ss', and hit enter. (You'll end up with something like this- ssyoutube.com/v/whateveritsfake=8483828). It then auto opens and loads in savefrom.net, and you can select lower quality downloads if you want too from there. Just make sure that you have pop-up blockers and ad-blocker and stuff- it likes to auto-open a new tab and load some scam website, but I've been using it for years and never had any problems with virus downloading or anything. Immediately close any page that isn't savefrom.net or its video player, and you won't have any problems.
