Status of Twilight has a Pokemon Journey · 10:53pm Feb 28th, 2018
This is for anyone who has been following my Pokemon story for any length of time. I wanted to put something out there to give some kind of an explanation as to what has been going on recently and what my plan is for this story going forward.
I guess as good a place to start as any is this; I haven't been really paying any attention to Friendship is Magic for the last year at least. Some of you may have picked up on this because I haven't been integrating any newer characters into the story. Between school and other things, I haven't had the same drive to keep up with the show or even go back and watch the older episodes.
That being said, this story will be finished. I can't give any real timeline when, but I do intend to make sure this story gets a conclusion. As an aspiring writer, I have a tendency to bounce between ideas and not get anything meaningful done on any of them. Right now, I have a fantasy story and a superhero story going alongside it, meaning I'm not getting much done on anything.
School has been kicking my butt three ways to Sunday as well. When you're a History major, you find yourself having to read and write so much you can't find the time to work or the energy to work on the projects you want to do. Hopefully the vacation I have coming up this week will at least give me the freedom to put a bit of time into things. I at least have a chapter underway and a good idea as to how it's going to unfold. I just need to sit down and do it, and once my midterms are through with, I might have that time.
So, where do we go from here? Well, what I can tell you is there are three Gym battles left to take place, an evil team to fight, and an Elite four battle. The Elite Four will be a bit sticky because that will require writing out a lot of very technical battle scenes, which can take awhile. After that, I have about 5 or 6 Epilogue chapters to give each of the characters some form of closure and a small arc to themselves. Again, I can't really give any sort of a calendar just because school does take priority, but this is what I am planning and I wanted to put that out there.
For all of you who have followed this story, thank you from the bottom of my heart. This platform has done me a great deal of good in allowing me to hone my style at least a little, and putting stuff out there has been a wonderful experience. Looking back, not everything is a winner and I still have plenty of regrets. I wish I had been able to get more done on the Infiltrators story and I wish War Horse and Eternal Sun had gotten a bit more traction to merit me putting more work into them, because I enjoyed both of the concepts. But for now, I want to say thank you to the people who supported Pokemon Journey and I wanted to express that thanks by promising to give this one a worthwhile conclusion.
Anyway, that's all I have for today. Thank you for reading this rambly blog, and I hope I can continue to share fun and entertaining ideas with you in the future.

The offer is sincerely appreciated but that hasn't been the problem. It's mostly been a bad writers block and not having the time. That being said, I've been struck by inspiration the other day and I've been actually making mad progress in the last couple nights, enough that I might actually have a buffer of chapters by the end of the week.
I'll leave the details vague for now, but Tempest's song from the MLP movie has both gotten my creative juices surging and will probably get me watching the movie and show again.

Also I found out reading stories based around what I'm writing helps a lot when I have writers block.
