So P-Berry did another blog post, huh?

Well, looks like it, anyway. Didn't see that coming, huh?

    Oh well...

Nope, not gonna react to MrNumbers' blog. Miss me with that drama.

    Ahem.

Well, it's been a while. A few things have changed here and there, and I feel like there's a few updates I should get out there.

So P-Berry did a blog post, huh? · 6:12am Feb 14th, 2018

Well, seems like it anyway, so... yeah. Blogs. And stuff.

So, seems like I've passed 100 followers a little while ago, so let me use this opportunity to say my thanks to everyone who has decided that I (or, well, the stuff I write) is worth their time. It's the feedback on my stories and the ongoing support from both, friends and strangers that keeps me writing every day, and I can't express how grateful I am for every follower, every comment and every like I get.

On that note, a big shoutout goes out to Cocaine (a.k.a. Dan_The_Jerk, a.k.a. Whatmakesarainbow) for having my back from the very beginning, and continuously kicking my lazy ass whenever I was about to drop writing for good. I wouldn't be where I am today without her!

Also coming up soon (in exactly one month) is my fifth anniversary on this here site, as I joined exactly one week after the day I consider to be my first day in this wonderfully weird fandom, which marks a truly confusing Thursday evening where little Berry sat down in his room and read his first ever fanfiction - a wonderful, magical tale called Rainbow Factory, which I only learned to like a few months down the road.

Looking at some of my early stuff, I find it quite amazing how much I've improved as a writer since then. Most of my godawful earlier works have never been published, and while pdp.exe (the only story from my early writing days that's still up) is far from what I'd consider worth publishing nowadays, it still is head and shoulders better than some of the early stuff archived somewhere on my hard drive.

With that said, I've decided to add the remaining chapters and re-submit Revenge is Bittersweet shortly, which is the first MLP-fanfiction I've ever written out and finished. It's utterly terrible by my today's standards, and I haven't read through it again after writing it in summer of 2013, so it probably still has a lot of typos in it, and just overall poor spelling and grammar. Keep in mind I wasn't as advanced in English as I am today.

However, regardless of all that, I was incredibly proud of it back in the day, and in a way still am today. It still is among the longest stories I've ever written, and I still think the plotline (or at least parts of it) do have some potential, up to the point where I might just redo the whole thing one day to give those ideas the story they deserve.

But regardless, poorly written and shameful as it is to me, it still played a major role in making me grow as a writer, and I can safely say that I wouldn't be the person I am today had I not written it. It's a part of my "career" (if you can call it that) as a writer, and youthful sin or not, it doesn't deserve to rot away in my unsubmitted-folder.

So yeah, I think that just about wraps up my first (and probably last) ever blog post. I'll do another one once I've reached one million followers. Probably.

Later, suckers!

j/k I love you all <3

Hey, Phil!

Congratulations on hitting 100 followers  Now to the next milestone!

As someone who came in late, the respect and care you treat your readers with is nothing short of remarkable. The time and effort you put in the content you produce and the care in your contact with your audience are the main strength that got me to hit that “follow” a few months ago, and the quality of your stories hasn’t disappointed since.

It’s great having you here. Stay awesome, Phil

You’ve made me curious, I’ll add this Rainbow factory thing to my “read it later” list.

Good to hear. Looking forward to see what comes next, whether it be about those characters or something new

Well, I'm currently working on a longer adventure-piece, which I suppose counts as my next big thing, but I also have something with the space ponyos in the works, so...
