One Story Overshadowed By The Rest

I couldn't help but notice that, while my friend and I have been pouring our hearts into a story that emphasizes adventure, drama, and a bit of comedy, it isn't doing as well as, say, the one story where Rainbow Dash hypnotizes two mares to getting their butts stung by wasps. It makes me think, should I focus more on my kinkier stories or focus more on the serious story and be a better writer

Thank you for reading Sting of the Love Bees!

Sincerely, to all that have read it and gave it good marks, thank you. To those that didn't, thank you for looking anyway. I hope that your support can inspire me to write more chapters and delve into the plot even further.

    Thank you!

I'm thinking about making the Love Bee saga its own series...

Would it be alright to move the stories I have of the love bees in Fluttershy the Mellisophile and make it its own separate entry? The entire arc of it so far sounds like it has the right to be a series of its own.

    Where I've been...

Hello, all! It's been a long time, huh?

Well, the reason I've been so absent is because I've completely shifted my focus from my hobbies of writing/drawing to working my life out. Lack of motivation and inspiration kinda hits hard when you are going through a crisis of what you're doing with your life, moreso if your creativity is focused on a fetish that no one likes but you.

As a creative artist, I do want to strive to get better at storytelling and art. However, it's very hard for me to do that when people focus too much on what bothers them and not on the content itself. I know there are some people that do like my work and I'm very grateful for them. However, I wish the people that mass-downvote my stories would give a comment on why they didn't like it. Even if it's as simple as "bee stings make me uncomfortable", I'd like to hear it so I can adjust it somehow to make the stories a little more accessible.

To anybody who reads this that have a history of not liking my stories, please do share with me what's wrong with them.

Unfortunately I think it comes with the territory. A lot of fetishes that are strange, unsavory or less mainstream have a lot of downvotes on them, especially considering that even well written stuff like yours attracts negative attention.

There are a few fetishes that have a presence on this site that I don't enjoy and never will. I don't downvote those because I understand there are people that do enjoy them. I think it might go a long way if this site had some way to hide stories from specific authors or if they appear in specific groups. That way a story's rating would more accurately portray its quality instead of having downvotes just for subject matter, and people wouldn't have to see stories they already know they have no interest in.

I'd also like some sort of system that tracks that the reader read it before he can make a vote, maybe based on time. Either way, it can be a little demoralizing for people to vote and run.
