The Future of Five Stars... · 3:55pm Jan 7th, 2018
Hey folks. Just wanted to let everyone know where things stand with our favorite mare and the future of the Five Star series.
To begin with, I have decided that I am going back into the original story to completely rewrite the climactic scene with The Attorney. Reading it now, I am not--at all--happy with it, and thus I am going to totally redo it. The changes will be major enough that I will re-release the chapter when the time comes. Additional changes will also be made to the previous chapter where she first met him to take care of some other issues there, but both modified chapters will be released when ready, and be assured I will preserve the earlier versions of the chapters as well. When will it happen? I don’t know yet. I have plenty of other stuff to write, but within the next couple months, definitely.
A sequel to Five Star Service is still planned, but will not be released until next Xmas because that’s when it will take place. The story will involve where Five Stars goes and who she sees following the conclusion of the article series. If you want a hint, there’s still one major figure from her past she hasn’t seen or visited, and she intends to both rectify that and the fact that for all the work she’s done with humans, she hasn’t actually visited the human world yet. Yes, Five Stars is coming to Earth. Heaven help us all...
Aside from that, a couple other things I might mention. First, I’d like to give a shout-out to ShadowLDrago for reading through the story and leaving comments on it. He’s one of my favorite commenters, and his longposts on The Lawyer and The Unicorn and other works of mine are something I look forward to with every release. Second, Five Stars has made cameos in my other stories, including TLaTU, Unleash the Magic - Midnight Rising, and even Rise of Firefly, where she appeared as her ancestor. I think she’s become something of a franchise character of mine! She will continue to make guest appearances in other works, including at some point Unleash the Magic - Nightmare Night. Be afraid, folks...
