I RETUUUUUURN! · 11:00am Jan 6th, 2018
Gosh, it's been way too long since I posted anything. I got a new Cheese 'n Crackers up, so I hope that will be to your liking. I didn't mean to suddenly drop off the face of the site, but real life gets in the way. It got in the way so much I'm actually multiple seasons behind on the show itself, and not because I've stopped liking it or anything like that. (Similarly, I've only seen about half a season's worth of Cipaldi's Doctor and now he's gone and regenerated already). For now my updates will likely be to my softer stories. I'm gonna need to reacquaint myself with Time Keeps Wibbling On before I can continue it.
Which half a season? Cause, if it's only half of the firs season.... I can't blame you for giving up, that season almost made me quite watching the show entirely it was just so, freaking BAD! Between the stupid, idiotic plots that, make no sense, even in the context of Who, and making this the Clara Oswald Show rather then Doctor Who.
That said, the next season..... holy fuck did they knock it out of the park! Just, just fuck that might be the best overall season of the show since the revival. And, you MUST go till you see Heaven Sent it is just.. just glorious. (Then they went and dropped the ball in the finale by making it all about Clara Sue again.)
Third Season... still pretty damn good. Few bleh moments, but Bill is freaking AMAZING as a companion.
And through it all, even in the drek that was season 8, Capaldi was just stunning as The Doctor, the issues were fully on him just being given crap to work with, not his ability in the least, cause when they give him good stuff, damn does he deliver, and he even makes most of the crap not totally worthless. I would really really love to call him my fav Doctor.... but he just got so many stupid, stupid, idiotic scripts....
OMG! Get out of here. Just kidding. Looking forward to updates.

You know, it actually was that first half a season, but similar to my being behind on MLP, it had nothing to do with distaste for the show itself, and more to do with personal matters. I plan to get caught up on both, but now I have the problem of backlog...
(At least the Pony Movie looks pretty safe, from a spoiler standpoint, which'll probably be my starting point. According to a friend of mine, knowledge through Season 3 should be enough, and I'm not THAT far behind.)
4769056 Yup, though that's actually one of the flaws/weak points of the movie, that it ignores pretty much all continuity after the end of season 4 baring a few cameos of certain characters.
That and being written by Meghan 'Any alicorn not named Twilight Sparkle is useless and needs to be shoved aside ASAP' McCartny
The writing.... is not the movies strong suit, at all. But oh sweet Fuasticorn is the animation gorgeous, the music phenomenal and the acting knocking it out of the park.
