Hasbroverse worldbuilding post eight: A rough timeline of Hasbroverse Earth · 10:58pm Jan 4th, 2018
Been a while since one of these. Maybe a bit too long. Still, no time like the present! More after the break.
Hasbroverse Earth is like ours in many respects, unlike our in a lot of others. Here's a very rough timeline of events. Some stuff me be out of order. I may have forgotten stuff. Still, here it is.
Before the Dawn of time-the early days of the multiverse
- The One creates a being, then divides said being in half, calling one Unicron, the other Primus. He/She/It tells them to go forth and explore the multiverse.
- Unicron falls to corruption, cause unknown. Primus battles him, but the resulting fighting causes more multiversal destruction than Unicron's previous actions. Primus tricks Unicron into trapping himself within an asteroid. Unicron molds the asteroid into his new body and begins anew, while Primus creates the Thirteen to deal with him. He also creates other artifacts such as Vector Sigma, the Matrix, and others.
- Vector Sigma ignites the first hot spots across Primus' body, now known as Cybertron. The first Transformers are born.
Fifteen million years ago
The Quintessons invade and conquer Cybertron, enslaving the populace. They begin selling them off-world as 'consumer goods' and 'military hardware', severely damaging their neural networks to make them more docile and easier to command. Many of these would be used in wars of conquest and general destruction in Tyorxian space, devastating their worlds and seeding a deep, deep hatred for Cybertronian life in them.
Twelve million years ago
The Quintessons are thrown off of Cybertron.
Eleven million years ago
The Functionalist faction manages to gain control of Cybertron. A miner-turned-gladiator named Megatron, and a dock worker-turned-cop known as Orion Pax, organize resistance to their tyranny.
Nine million years ago
Megatron and Orion have a final falling out in a warehouse in Iacon. Megatron severely wounds Pax, his conjunx endura Ariel, and kills their friend Dion. Alpha Trion, of the Thirteen, rebuild them into Optimus Prime and Elita One. The Great War begins.
Nine million to five million years ago
Refugees flee Cybertron aboard Vanguard-class interceptors, each one carrying a hot spot. The refugees g on to found colony worlds such as Velocitron, Gigantion, Junk, Caminus, Eukaris, Paradron and others.
Four million years ago
Optimus leaves Cybertron in search of new energy sources. His expedition is intercepted by Megatron. Their ships spiral out of control and crash-land on some insignificant blue planet.
Earth
The long-standing war between Cobra-La and Sub-Atlantica is finally halted by the Last Glacial Maximum. Cobra-La retreats to the Himalayas, and Sub-Atlantica underwater. The Mutores manage to capture the Inhumanoids and imprison them.
The wizard Beorht creates a magical time/space machine some time before the year 543 AD. He uses it to contact a fellow wizard known as the Moochik. The two work together, becoming good friends. Both also learn that their worlds, Earth and Equus, are far more connected than at first glance. Both begin making preparations as best they can for what is to come.
February 2nd, 1964
General Joe Colton, veteran of World War II, founds the 'Adventure Team', a loose collection of men and women dedicated to righting wrongs throughout the world. They would informally become known as 'GI Joe', after the team's founder.
1969
Megan Williams is born
1970's
'Joe Broca''s car dealership fails. His brother kills the family of a Vietnam veteran. He kidnaps his son Billy and goes looking for revenge against the vet.
Snake Eyes goes and joins the Arashikage ninja clan with the help of his friend Tommy 'Storm Shadow' Arishikage, after his family is killed in a car accident. Joe attempts to have Snake Eyes killed, but is unsuccessful. He eventually finds his way to the Himalayas and meets with Golobulous, leader of Cobra-La. The two strike a deal-Golobulous will provide Joe, now known as Corba Commander, with resources to wage his war on humanity.
January 31, 1979
Jacqui Benton is killed in a plane crash. Emmett Benton begins work on Synergy.
1980
The Misfits form. Mary 'Stormer' Phillips almost joins the Bangles, but is persuaded to join the Misfits.
1981
Mobile Armored Strike Kommand is founded.
1982
Firefly crosses the original Rainbow Bridge to seek help against Tirac and finds Megan. She goes to help and Tirac is defeated.
1983
MASK member Miles Mannheim betrays co-founder Matt Trakker, kills his brother Andrew, steals a number of vehicles and masks to outfit his criminal/mercenary outfit "VENOM", and takes up the moniker "Miles Mayhem". Trakker is forced to rebuild MASK, recruiting Bruce Sato, Gloria Baker, Dusty Hayes, Alex Sector, Brad Turner, Buddie Hawks, and Hondo MacLean.
Mount Saint Hillary erupts, reactivating Teletraan-One. Damaged, it repairs Skywarp, who revives Megatron. The Great War begins again. Humanity has official, undeniable first-contact with non-human sapient life for the first time. Optimus Prime saves the lives of Irving 'Sparkplug' Witwicky and Spike Witwicky at an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico.
1982-1991
Megan, Molly, and Danny cross over to Ponyland many, many times. They bring with them thousands of books, pamphlets, guides, electronic devices, tools, and anything they think might help the ponies. With six exceptions, all these artifacts are preserved. Almost all of them are placed in the Vault, under the Canterlot Royal Library.
1980-1982
Counter-Terrorist Group Delta, code-named "GI Joe', is formed, with thirteen original members. Their primary purpose is to fight a recently-emerged terrorist organization known as 'Cobra'.
1983
Hank, Eric, Diana, Preston, Sheila, and Bobby, travel to the Realm, helping to stop Venger. Although they spends three years in the Realm, only a few hours pass on Earth for them. When they arrive back on Earth, they retained their weapons.
1985
Twilight Sparkle, Danielle, and Spike, go to this year to fight Sunset Shimmer and get back the Element of Magic.
Emmett Benton dies. His daughter, Jerrica, discovers Synergy and forms the Holograms.
1985-1986
VENOM commits numerous crimes, many of which are foiled by MASK.
1986
The Inhumanoids are released from their prisons.
After a string of failures, Doctor Mindbender, Cobra's Head of Science, leads a coup against Cobra Commander, replacing him with Serpentor, a clone created from the combination of history's greatest conquerors, and Sergeant Slaughter.
1987
Cobra-La is revealed to the world at large. Conrad 'Duke' Hauser is critically wounded.
Miles Mayhem is killed by Blitzwing. Vanessa Warfield, having fallen for Brad Turner, agrees to help international authorities capture the other VENOM agents in exchange for a reduced sentence.
1988
In the mid-80's, several countries drew up plans of attack against the Decepticons' underwater headquarters. Some attacks were carried out, almost all of them with tremendous loss of life and wrecked vehicles. One plan, drew up by the People's Liberation Army, was to launch a DF-5 ICBM at their headquarters. That plan was quickly shelved. However, it was quietly revived in 1988 by a rogue group of officers. Unfortunately, said officers were really facsimile constructs. The Decepticons had kidnapped the real officers and other key personnel, used brainwave scanners to copy their memories, and enacted the plan. It was in part to discourage further attacks on their headquarters, but also for simple sadistic pleasure.
When the ICBM was launched, the Decepticons seized control of it. Megatron also had Soundwave override worldwide television and radio broadcasts. He transmitted himself with a rather large wheel, a'la a game show. On it were the names of locations around Asia. He spun it, it landed on Singapore, and he had the missile directed there. It was an airburst detonation. Approximately 2,098,320 fatalities and 2,784,710 injuries. Megatron let the captured officers live just long enough to see the detonation before killing them.
At the end of the broadcast, he stated that this would be the end result of all those who defy the Decepticon Empire. His headquarters would not be attacked again until 1994, and the Day of the Broken Fang.
As for Singapore, the country was devastated, but international relief efforts poured in to help rebuild. Nowadays, most of the scars are gone, but for those who survived, there's always a lingering sense of dread.
1988-89
VENOM collapses.
1991
Danny is crippled in Ponyland saving Luna's life. He's brought back, but the Rainbow Bridge collapses behind him. Contact is lost with Equus for 20 years.
1992
Megan and Mike marry. Danielle Richards is born
1993
Humans land on Mars for the first time.
1994
Day of the Broken Fang. Cobra is almost completely wiped out. GI Joe, the Oktober Guard, and many other military units from the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the Russian Republic, are used to create the Earth Defense Command, a permanent international military dedicated to the defense of all mankind.
1994-1999
The Decepticons are pushed off of Earth thanks to Autobot/EDC forces. Meanwhile, Megatron consolidates his hold on Cybertron.
1998
Michelle Richards is born.
1999
The last remnants of Cobra are destroyed. Zoe Wiedler graduates from high school and enlists in the Earth Defense Command.
2005
Battle of Autobot City. Unicron is destroyed/banished from this reality. Autobots retake Cybertron.
2006
Quintesson/Transformer connection is discovered. Hate Plague incident, Optimus Prime is brought back to life. Contact is established with Cybertronian refugee worlds.
2007
Contact with Nebulon. The Last Push happens. Decepticon warmaking capabilities are almost permanently destroyed. Starscream founds the new Decepticon Empire and defections from Galvatron's faction start happening.
Late 2007
Perceptor and Wheeljack discover a technique to channel the energy from two or more laser cores into an empty laser core, bringing a new 'spark of life' online. The first two created are Alpha Bravo and Rook. Eventually Wreck-Gar and Nancy create Wreck-Gar Junior, and Optimus and Elita create Sentinel, among others.
2009
The Stunticons are killed, and the Combaticons taken prisoner.
2011
Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle crash through the walls of reality and land in the backyard of Megan Richards. Contact between the Equestrian Alliance and Earth is formally established.
2012
Queen Celestia from 'Neo-Equestria' attempts to invade and convert humanity into 'newfoals'. She is defeated. New Decepticon Empire given formal recognition and signs a peace treaty with Earth and all allied governments.

It's rough but it's good. Nice to see how it all fits together and that in some universe, Blitzwing gets to kill Mayhem.

I just realized something. Something I never knew I wanted before. I want to see Eric Cavalier use his shield to the absolute GOBSMACK of invading ponies in a crowning moment of awesome!
Man, I'd be interested in seeing what happened in this universe version of the EG events. It gives me the mental image of more 80s versions of Sunset, Twilight and the Dazzlings.
